naw, that Apossum guy's a douche. I don't like GGXX much either.

Okay okay, yeah... I kinda wanna get GGXX now that it's ONRINE CAPABURR ON A THREEHUNDERD ANDU SICKUSTEE!! We'll see, foo.

But something to keep in mind -- GG is my game. MK is Jim's game. Tekken is Markman's game. CVS2 is Asian's game. Rolento... arguably doesn't have a game. But this is my game to kill people at. You will lose. Horribly.
you took my game-- DoA. but you can have it. ummm...uh...I guess Ninja Gaiden is my game, but I want a fighting game. speaking of which, I need to destroy hard mode in NG :)

Speaking of Sigma, I finished it today. It's the first Ninja Gaiden game that I ever finished for some reason. Pretty solid, although the jumping got on my nerves (I hate how you're limited to that one forward moving jump). All in all, about an 7.5 out of 10. I prefer DMC series over NG still, but both are good and I will definately play NG2.

Also, where was the difficulty? Granted I only played on normal, but I finished it with the ranking of "Master Ninja" with pretty much no problem at all. The only times I died really were at the very end (Chapter 19) and that was only because at first I couldn't figure out at that part that you have to jump onto the lower rock, because the camera was all weird and I couldn't see it.

Also, I still had a few Spirit Elixirs, 4 Great Spirits Elixirs or whatever, 5 Devil Elixirs, and 2 Great Devil Elixirs (I used one on the evil Murai .) Oh and I had a talisman of Rebirth.

edit: I also died a couple times

people say this version is easier. i guess it is, but I'm also very used to normal. you had all those items, but were they all from the first pick ups early on? ;)

very hard and master ninja are where it's at. Which is a pain in the ass because they have to be unlocked one by one...I think they should've had them unlocked with complete data from the demo.

I definitely got my ass kicked as rachel too-- especially during the fiend challenge in her 2nd mission (or which ever one is right outside the base.)

I thought Super Paper Mario was pretty solid, but it definiately wasn't a "platformer with RPG elements" as the gaming press would've had you believe. It was a Paper Mario game with a different combat system. The combat was right out of a 2D Mario game, but that's about it.

The middle of the game drags, too. Worlds 1-3 were getting progressively better, 4 was a total mind job, then 5-7 were kinda meh. World 8 was fantastic.

Jer & Chacy, I think I understand where you're coming from. A lot of the games that get gushed over from this gen thus far (most notable Dead Rising and Gears of War) I thought were just boring. I couldn't get into The Darkness, and I think I've stopped playing more games that I've bought and started than ever before.

The heavy hitters look great, though, from Nintendo, Microsoft and others. I have no idea what Sony is up to, but not a thing they've got coming looks even remotely interested to me (though Lair, if done right, could be really, really cool). In the end, though, I think the DS is going to be the best system of this time frame. The games are steallar from first and third party alike, and it's got the flare and novelty of a new control system without forcing you to use it as is the case on the Wii.

I think my issue lately is that I just have a very limited budget of time to play games now. Why would I ever spend that time playing a game that wasn't amazingly good and exactly to my tastes? Metroid Prime 3, Halo 3, and Mario Galaxy can't get here soon enough. I'm giving Bungine the benefit of the doubt on Halo 3. If they pull another Halo 2 on me, though, I'm gonna be pissed.

I'm trying to work through Transfomers before I leave for vacation. I still have Project Slypheed and Vampire Rain (groan) to finish up, but those will wait.

And I've picked up Paper Mario on the VC, but haven't bothered to boot it up yet.

I beat Call of Duty 2 last night on Normal, I have had it since 12/26

Beat Dead or Alive 4 with everyone last night, and got Helena and Spartan, now I just need to get Tengu.

Gave Enchanted Arms a shot last night...didn't even make it to the first save point. The voice acting is HORRIBLE.

I'll give it a shot again tonight with the Japanese voices...otherwise I'll be getting rid of it asap.

welcome to a year and a half ago. ;)

Killzone on PS2 ain't so bad. It's getting sold immediately after finishing, though.

No it's not. People hate it just because it was overhyped and called the "Halo Killer" (by I believe GameInformer).

I played through the campaign once and then spent the rest of my time playing online. Was good fun.
I wouldnt mind picking up Killzone for a quick romp on the PS2. Should look nice upscaled.
If you never played threw black it is worth a quick play through, it too would probably look good upscaled.

Killzone's got some serious technical problems, and it's very repetetive, but as far as the FPS genre goes, it's slightly above average. Good feel of weapons/reload animations. I still don't like the Dual Shock for FPS. Awful.

I think the game was rushed for whatever reason (think it was released around the same time as Halo 2) which killed some time for it to be fixed in places.

Still, I really liked the atmosphere in the game, it actually felt war-like.

I disagree, I think the PlayStation controller is the best for FPS.

You Ninja Gaiden masters would be proud of me. I spend like 30 minutes in a tunnel, fighting fiend after fiend, to gain money for the last 2 levels of my wooden sword.

Giant paddle FTW!

nice :) you should have no problem plowing through the rest of the game with that sucka.

Yea, we'll see who's the Ninja Dog now >__>

It's actually not as good as I thought. A bit too slow. Then again I've only used it on the little purple guys. I can imagine it rips the zombies and red dragons apart.

I disagree, I think the PlayStation controller is the best for FPS.
Saying that Killzone beats Halo 2 doesn't pay Killzone too much of a compliment, especially single-playerly (what?) speaking. Halo 2 was a rushed hack job of a single player game. Evidently its multiplayer is endearing for some, but as someone who mainly plays the single player campaigns of games, that doesn't mean too much to me.

Most of the times I can understand where people are coming from in their opinions, but I really, really can't with the praise given to the DualShock, especially for FPS games. From the stick placement to the semi-poorly-designed shoulder buttons, ugh. If that's all we had, maybe, but when we have the Xbox Controller S and the 360 pad with their proper stick placements and actual comfortable triggers, how is there any comparison?

Dude....you're arguing with Mana Knight.

You might as well put your dick in a bear trap.

Killzone was a game I really liked the setting and the feel of it, and had no problems getting into it. However, I'm the type of person who's judgement shouldn't be used against an FPS because I'm not really into the genre most.

Personally, I'm a big fan of symmetrical joysticks, and I just feel the most comfortable with the PlayStation controller setup. It might lack the triggers (PS2 that is) to feel like I'm firing a gun, but that's the least of my worries. The aiming was a tad stiff though, but the PS3 controller fixes it IMO. The S controller is good, but just didn't suit my hands all too well (360 controller was a lot better for me, except the D-pad and bumper button feel to me). But then again, I don't play many FPS to make the comparison (I mostly play RPGs, platformers, fighters, and flight games). :)

Anyway, I still need to open Ninja Gaiden Sigma. :( I played the Beautiful Katamari demo today. I like it, but kind of hard to play with asymmetrical analog sticks IMO. I played Hot Shots Tennis demo, but having some problems getting use to it, due to playing Virtua Tennis for years. Played a little Enchanted Arms and Super Stardust HD also. About to play some PSP, probably Mega Man Powered Up.

Plowing through Fire Emblem... finished Lyn's chapters, starting in on Eliwood. Not sure if I'll go through it with Hector, rather just move on to Sacred Stones if anything.

I don't think Halo and Killzone are even in the same neighborhood, city, country, galaxy, or any of the above. Killzone is merely a distraction. Halo is a AAA title. Vehicles, more interesting weapons/enemies, better story, MUCH better music, less seams/better technical aspects, better control, there's nothing that killzone does even close. This isn't in repsonse to TMK or anything, just saying. I love both Halo games, played through them several times in single player.

Killzone has no personality or feel, you're just shooting endless amounts of guys in black armor with glowing eyes. Just Halo's grunts have more creativity and personality than all the enemies in Killzone put together. Add to that the elites, the excellent arbiter character, and my favorite from a design standpoint, the Hunters.. they're all much more memorable than the legions of Helghast that fall like straw men.

Did anyone else see Children of Men and couldn't stop thinking this is what a Half Life 2 movie would feel like? I really enjoyed it, been wanting to see it for a while.

Killzone would be my favorite game of all time if these were the enemies.

It's not right to laugh at the retarded kids.

I heard that Kaz Hirai captured Mana Knight at a young age and brainwashed him. It makes sense, considering his ridicilously fucking awful opinions on anything and everything.

TMK I don't dislike you as an internet persona, you are just the most fucking ridicilous fanboy I've ever seen in my life. If you weren't 24, I'd say grow the fuck up.

Did you just say the Controller S has comfortable triggers? I have to disagree with you, they're poorly-placed (too low to be confortable) and are just a pain to use normally for any games that uses them a lot. The 360 controller's much better in that regard, thankfully, and is just a better overall controller. I've never had a problem with the DS's dual analog placement, for FPS or whatever, so the controller involved doesn't matter.

You are now officially a disgrace to gamers. If anymore nonsense comes out of your mouth, I'ma take you out back.

I'm strongly behind the Controller S and the 360 pad for FPS, racing and every other genre except fighting and maybe RPG.

I always preferred the triggers on the Xbox pad after I played a few minutes of Halo and a bit of a racing game. Playing any racing game with the face buttons as accelerate and brake just feels really off to me now.

Sadly, Sony didn't quite get it when they stole the concept for the SIXAXIS. Convex triggers where your fingers slip off when pressing down on them aren't exactly capturing what makes the Microsoft designs work so well. But, whatever.

to be fair, it was originally Sega's design. Analog triggers rock, though.

Hay guys, I just got a wii. wanted to get one before they dry up before the holidays (yeah, I'm kinda early.)

So besides everything that came out before Mario Party 8, what should I check out? I'm considering RE4. like a lot of you, this will be my umpteenth time playing through the game :)

d00d, it's the best version of RE4 there is. Go git it, sucka. Additionally, I think Super Paper Mario's supposed to be really good, though some people don't seem to like it :(. Uhm... wat else? Oh yah, nothing!

I would get RE4 for sure. The controls shine a whole new light on it. Hell I was stuck on just the opening sequence in the village and I couldn't get past the stupid chainsaw lady. The controls just bring a whole new challenge to it.

Super paper mario is good, it's just people forget paper mario is an RPGish type game that has a story, and they don't want a story they just want the platforming. It is a good game which I have still yet to beat but am on the 5th chapter.

You can use the classic controller or a Gamecube controller though, so it should be fine if you don't like the controls.

RE4 is all I can think of since MP8

Metroid will own your soul.

I'm so close to picking up Sonic because of how Daroga talks about it ;)

Challenge as in a real challenge or "omg, these controls fucking suck, this is more difficult than it needs to be" :)

I definitely want to check out SPM.

A little of both.

Wait, since Mario Party 8? That's like... a whole month and a half of releases. Or are you just asking for the most recent stuff?
They need to release "Let's Meow Meow" on the Wii.
yes! Hentai games could totally benefit from Wii control. waggle waggle

Imagine Bible Black....where you have to use a Wii motion to....grow that thing that comes out of that thing it shouldn't be coming out of. I hope that makes sense. god, hentai is retarded.

A little of both.

Sounds not so hot, but who am i kidding, I'll probably run out and buy it as soon as I finish my paper.

The controls in RE4 take about 10 minutes to get into, and then you'll wonder how you ever played it with a dual-analog setup.

I'd love to see a real RE game designed with the Wii's controls in mind from the ground up. RE4 works amazingly well considering it's a port, but something designed for it would be great. UC looks neat and I'll likely get it, but sometihng more akin to RE4 than a light gun game would be neat.

yeah. I can see that happening-- a Wii specific RE game to accompany the release of 5 on the other consoles.

can't wait to play the Ada missions....

say, is everything exactly where it is in the normal game-- like treasure and spindels?
