Yeah, it feels a bit different. Though, I do prefer the Wii controls since thankfully, Capcom didn't go overboard like every other 3rd party developer seems to.

Next week brings... hmm... well, Persona 3 of course, but oddly enough, I'm more interested in Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Version B.
you rich bastard, I want MB...kinda.

I'm gonna get Persona, but I won't be playing it for a while...
Yeah, I tried the demo of Lost Planet on PC to see if it was just the controls that I didn't like about it.

No. It's the game. Ugg.

On the bright side, I'm pretty close to the end of RE4 Wii. Stage 5-3. I'm gonna hafta fight
Krauser
soon, and I'm not lookin' forward to it. I'll probably bring a rocket to the battle seeing as how I have an ungodly amount of money I haven't used.
Just use the knife.
I am having a blast with Tales of the World. Spent the whole day playing.
I need to play that more.

I played Bomberman Live last night. To an extent it reminded me why online gaming pisses me off at times, because I was trying to organize a game with the Modojo forum, but only one person showed up (and that was over an hour and a half after I started). Still, I like the game and play it a lot. Before I got it, I was rarely playing my 360, now I'm playing it quite a bit. I've played a few CAG Members.

Tekken: Dark Ressurection here. Used the $5 GameStop coupon. That store is always full of morons. They were all playing some dumbass WoW card game instead of paying attention to the awful condition of the store or the guy trying to trade in something.

I had some stuff from ebay that didn't sell, so I took it in to trade. a $40 PSP game, Killzone Liberation only gets you $12 there now. The other $20 games I brought barely broke $4 each. I got some movies b2g1 and Tekken for around $12. It wasn't THAT bad.

Just got Crackdown from Gamefly the other day and I've been playing it like it's my job. Tons of fun, immensely playable. I could just jump from rooftop to rooftop and be satisfied.

Did you end up trading in Killzone? I'll buy it off of you, if not. PM me.

Backlogs suck IMO. Although, I made a deal to sell 158 games to someone for $850 shipped (included a Sega Nomad, Jaguar, etc.). I included a few rares.

hmm... finished RE4. That fight wasn't as bad as I remember it being. Actually, it was easy. Well anyway, the game is still damn good.
Well I've been trying to get back in to SC:DA online for 360 but the playerbase really pains me. Trying to find decent people amidst the wannabe thugs and little kids is rediculous. That compounded with random dropped rooms(which don't let you add to your stats when it dies) makes it difficult to get back into a relatively fun and different online game.
I will down for some SC:DA cause I only played a few times, and would also like to do the co-op stuff add me.

Unearth4164.

Just let me you are a CAG I get weird people on my list 24/7 now.

Yeah...it's good.

I wonder if I'll ever play it again :p

And wow...I got Portrait of Ruin and man I suck at it. This is probably a good reason why I didn't get SoTN on PS3

pressing the character change key 1000 times in a row is worth the price of admission :)

Man, what a great weekend.

My Dad and Step-Mom came up for the weekend. We played some Wii Sports, and Dad brought up the copy of Big Brain Academy that he got for his Birthday (it was a surreal experience having my father teach me how to play a game that he owned and I didn't ;) ). BBA is pretty fun as a party game; played against my wife and my Dad. As always, my wife is very selective in what games she plays, but when she chooses to play one, she destroys me.

We then also played some Pac-Man vs. and a little Guitar Hero in addition to APF2K8 (and went out and bought a football since I don't have one for some reason and just played catch for a few hours).

It was a really good time, although between the Wii Bowling and the hours of RealLifeTM Catch playing, my right shoulder hurts. :p
The thing that has always bothered me about Castlevania is you can't attack up.
That's one of the reasons I tend to go for the weapons that have an arc-above-you swing in the Sorrow games. Never cared much for PoR. Had a lot of good ideas, but it never felt well executed.

Started Odin Sphere last night.

I bought it off a CAG sealed, but suddenly lost the urge to play it and was considering selling it. But I heard the disc inside was loose so I opened it to check and then played it.

Wow, this game is so GOOD. Way better than what I was expecting.

Anyway, I mostly played MotorStorm on PS3 and Karaoke Revolution on PS2 today. I remembered just how much I liked Karaoke Revolution. If I get good, that might attract a girl.

This weekend I played...nothing! Well not quite, I played a little Summon Knight 2 late Friday night then used my free time on Saturday to finish Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows..

picked up super robot taisen 2 today for the gba, so I'm playing that. and I also managed to score a copy of lumines from my local cc. if only I could have found super robot taisen 1 so I can play in order......

I think that'll be my next RPG (er, I already started it, but then I found my mint and complete copy of DDS1 at GS :) )

per usual with J-rpgs and me these days, I don't want to see another trad. j-rpg for a few months after I beat DDS.

but before that, I'm gonna beat Condemned. I wanna have it out of the way before the second one comes out. I have a feeling condemned 2 is going to be an amazing game.

Well, it's not like a girlfriend is something you can just go pick up at the store. That just happens when you meet the right one.

Tekken: Dark Resurrection is owning me right now. Haven't gotten into a fighting game for a long time.
How many hours into DDS are you right now, Possum?

IIRC, I finished in like 24 hours for both the first and second games.
38 hours according to the game clock (with a lot of "afk" time and a lot of grinding/exploration--I went to every single spot on every map--i'm ocd.) What level were you at? My characters are around 60.

also, my secret hope for the ending is that after all is said and done, Serph looks at the screen, gives a thumbs up, and says "Easy operation" in the same exact voice and engrish-accent as Guile.

I'm pretty good at Tekken, but that's because I play the series religiously.
Mighta been around 70. I know that I absolutely trashed the shit out of the last boss, especially because I had that Void All skill.
shenanigans. there's no way you were around level 70 with only 24 hours in.

edit: unless you were using a game genie

edit edit: fuck that last boss. that was worse than
lucifer
in Nocturne. I could've kept going for an hour or more until I killed it (I roughly calculated how many moves it could take...may have even gone on for 2 hours with unskippable, long spell animations and ailment curing taken into account) or just assume that the boss sucks ass and watch the ending on youtube. I chose the latter

Playing Dirge of Cerberus to pass the time before Persona 3. wtf was everyone complaining about with this game? I guess I didn't take into account that 95% of the people complaining about this game had never played it. Cause it's pretty fun. And good God the graphics are nice.

Finished Hotel Dusk - wtf? It wasn't all bad, but the touchscreen puzzles were like a joke. 2 were pulled out of a children's puzzle book, 1 was moving boxes, 1 was connect the dots, 2 were 'spin the number dials,' 1 was decorate the fucking Christmas tree? Seriously how much more gimmicky can you get? Combine this with a bossa nova soundtrack and having to reopen half the doors manually every time you go through them, and I'm ready to denounce the game reviewing world as a whole for recommending this. Also the 3D graphics were pretty embarrassing.

Those little additions were just kinda thrown on for a break, the real meat of the game is in the story. It's not so much a game as it is a novel with a few interactive elements. Expecting thrilling gameplay was going into it with the totally wrong mindset.

That said, Hotel Dusk was awesome.

Lawl, well I won the fight in like 25 or 30 minutes. So... you done with DDS for a while or you gonna try DDS 2 which is the really good one?

I finally got around to starting Ninja Gaiden Black and so far I'm already frustrated after the first level. The boss with the nunchucks is a bitch and after trying about 10 times I finally beat him but I can just imagine what the second level holds.

Chapter 20 in Fire Emblem is kicking my ass... I dislike the fog of war in these games as it is, having enemies hiding in the corner tiles show up as I'm attempting to take out the boss sort of pisses me off.

Hopefully attempt #5 will be successful.

Tony Hawk's Project 8

It's..... EXACTLY THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER fuckING TONY HAWK!

Seriously, this is starting to bore me. Might return it VERY soon.

I....don't believe you. I'm gonna hold off on DDS2 for a while. J-rpgs burn me out.

MGS2 has been completed. I stayed up till 3 am to beat it. Last time I did that was with the original Halo; I just couldn't put it down.

Now it's off to MGS3. Hopefully I can beat it and MGS: PO before Lair comes out.
