At the moment I'm debating on how my funds need to be allocated - I want a new computer (tower only - I've got a nic emonitor/printer/keyboard/speakers and all that) but its not a necesity but I'm really getting tired of my eMacines quirks but unfortunately the most decent computer I can find is running $500.
So once iI get that worked out or I get a visit from the magic college fairy :D
 
I thought Emachines were top of the line computers...at least thats what the guy at best buy was telling me when I was there during black friday last year

No, they're HIS secret files that never got deleted and can't be deleted. Throw the HDD into a river...after setting it on fire and setting off some fireworks in it to help destory it, because HDD's with secret files on them are hard to destroy :p

I've got an extra copy of Total Overdose for PS2 that I picked up for someone who ended up getting it himself. I was planning on returning it today unless you are interested.

Yeah, it is fucking nuts so far. I like it though...I have definitely had to backtrack a little though due to the odd puzzles in some cases. Not that they have been difficult, just odd. I haven't played it in a while though cause I haven't had the time, but I will play for an hour or two tonight. I am not very far so hopefully I can make some good progress tonight. How far along are you?
 
i'm stuck at the amusement park place. I have to switch personalities like a million times to get to where i need to go then i end up dying and having to start all over. Awesome game so far though. I liked the ulymeda level the animation are cool to watch.

You must be quite a bit farther than me on it then. I am only a couple hours in. The dying and having to start over drives me insane. I can't stand the whole gimmick of picking up the bag and reviving the personality. It's cool on the surface, but in practice it sucks, especially when you have to go kinda far to retrieve the fallen personality. For that it loses points from me. Still an 8-8.5 though IMHO.

Its going slow my friend. The whole thing started off that they werent really going to change much. i was just going to take their old catalog and take out the stuff they dont sell anymore and add the new stuff in.

The broad who did the catalog artwork has it a fucking mess. Everythings been flattened so when i move something i have to actually cut it out and photoshop the background back in. (The background are cars, so its a complete bitch to do)

These fools are putting so much stuff in this catalog every page has had to be re-done. Most of the pages are so crowded with text and pictures it looks terrible and they ignore my advice that things need to be spaced out better. So its a constant struggle to fit more shit on an already full page... imagine condensing two full catalog pagers into one without changing the size of the fonts and having pictures for every product. Its a clusterfuck to say the least.

I was working 12 hour days for a few weeks and since im now "salary" i dont get OT compensation and never did get my year raise i was told id get. Its funny when i sit in meetings and they are basically telling me how they want everythign to look and someone in the meeting goes "why dont we ask the artist" and the person in charge goes "we never consult him on anything, so why start now."

I sent my resume to two ads the other day hopefully i hear back from one. One of them was for a graphic design position at a law firm that had some relaly nice benefits (401k, Profit-Sharing, Paid Vacation, Full health, Dental, and Vision and also said they offer sign on bonuses.
