Logitech Cordless Headset (Xbox) REFURB $37 shipped at Overstock

Anyone ever use this headset, my regular one broke a while back and I wouldn't mind getting this bad boy as a replacement.

I work at Game Crazy dude and personally own one. First of all, if you play video games with a Logitech wireless xbox controller and are a fair distance away from the television then it is only necessary that you use a wireless headset with it. That being said, let me tell you about my experience with it. First of all, the foam protector which acts like a "condom" (forgive my choice of words as it is the only similar thing I can think of) for the earpiece is pretty crappy. I bought my headset about 10 months ago and it fell about 9 months ago. Now, I didn't use the headset everyday, but I did use it every other day and for it to fall off so quickly sucked cause now the hard plastic speaker get's a little oily next to my ear. Next, if you have a wireless network at home operating on 2.4 Ghz, then you should probably test out a buddies or just not get it. I've got two cordless phones, 2 Logitech wirless controllers, a gamerlounge d-link router, a wireless adapter for the router and about and a wireless adapter for my PS2 and it got so much crap interference that when I used it there was a bunch of static and clicks. So, I turned off all wireless adapters, move the phones to the other side of the house, and turned off wireless function of router and it worked perfectly then. Perfect silence. But the battery life is questionable. After about 4 hours of straight gameplay now, the damn thing runs out after a full charge. I probably charge it for only 4 to 6 hours to get a full charge, so overnight will do it. But even then, I've never had it die on me because I always plug mine back in when I'm done using it. It's got a sturdy design. I sat on it twice with all my 180 lb god of a body and it didn't break. It does fit comfortably. sound and reception are fine as long as there's no interference from other 2.4 ghz machines. That's pretty much my experience with it anyways. Hope it helps. Also, remember that the communicator is especially designed for the xbox. So when 360 comes around and if you plan on getting 360, then this headset is not going to be compatible with it. I am just gonna trade it in eventually seeing as how it's not compatible with Xbox360. Turns out you can use any standard headset with a jack on the 360 controllers.

oh i forgot my final piece. if you got a decent paying job where you can spend $37 on anything, much less a single headset, and not mind the price, then this isn't a bad price. I would say definitely worth it seeing as i bought mine for 80 right when it came out and it will do it's job well. but like i said as for compatability with 360, look somewhere else.
