Logitech G27 Racing Wheel $195[DEAD]

Great price on a great wheel. I own one myself. Works on Gran Turismo 5, Dirt 3, F1 2011, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Need for Speed: Shift Unleashed 2, etc.

Beware though, this wheel really needs something to attach it to. Some people buy the expensive rigs, others use a simple ironing board (not ideal). One option is to build a rig yourself, which is what I did. Here's a picture of mine, without the wheel attached:

That's a nice gaming chair!
I got my G27 from BBY but end up spent a lot more money to buy a decent gaming chair. Anyway, it totally worth the money and effort.

Where did you get the chair for that?

I really want to put together a racing cockpit for my G27 and Xbox wireless wheel, but just haven't had the time to get the whole process started.
Why don't these folks make an Xbox wheel? I'm sure there's a reason, but I wish they would anyway. Oh well.
I've been wondering the same thing. I'm guessing it has to do with licensing issues/fees or maybe the fact that MS and Logitech used to compete making steering wheel controllers for the PC.

I got mine off Craigslist for $90, and I think they used to sell the same model online at Advanced Auto Parts (although I can't find them now). If you can't find any kind of actual racing seat on Craigslist, you can just look for actual car seats taken out of a wrecked or junked car. You might get lucky and find something really nice for a low price.

i think its because of the force feedback. Microsoft has their own unique force feedback and requires wheels with force feedback to use Microsoft's version of force feedback which comes at a hefty price. something like that

btw i feel like if you're going to spend big. then might as well buy fanatec

Yea logitech g25 & g27 are fantastic, they really change the whole racing feel of a game, kinda like using a guitar with the rock band / guitar hero games instead of the controller. I also have mine hooked up to a playseat racing chair with added gearbox mount. Awesome quality but pricey

I just got a G27 last month, and it is totally worth the $250 I paid on Amazon. So $195 is a steal.
I have mine attached to a Playseat too. I had to buy the optional shifter attachment for $50 to use the manual shifter. But now that it's all setup, it is AMAZING.

People who say Forza 4 is a better racing game, haven't played GT5 with a G27. :D

No one who takes racing games seriously plays on Xbox, just some Xbros who think Forza is good.

Real reply tho, it is because MS requires proprietary drivers and license fee, and logitech knows better then to let MS bend them over like that. Sony has no such thing and is much more open.

Wow would you happen to have a blueprint or measurements that you can share for that awesome rig? Masterful work.

Thanks. I mostly used a design from a GTPlanet user found here: http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105033

As you can probably see, there are some differences between his rig and mine (I didn't make my rig adjustable in depth, because my seat has sliders), but they're largely the same. Hope this helps!
These things don't come with an e-brake right?
No. Just steering wheel, pedals, and shifter. Although I have seen homemade e-brakes added in.
