Logitech PlayGear Amp Speakers for PSP - $13 @ Amazon

I might order those off Amazon next time they have a good DOTD.

How good do they sound though? I'm not sure if its worth it, I already own a Nodus Psyclone I just want the LPG Amp for traveling but if the speaker quality is kinda cheap I won't bother.

my friend has them, and they are pretty awesome.

might just want to change the title - that 'buy both and save' from Amazon deal is pretty sweet. I ordered them on Thursday...

They have been this price [$19.99] at Target for a long time. I first noticed when I saw one marked "clearance" and then saw it for the same price at other Target stores that did not put it on clearance. IIRC, they are at Best Buy too so they may be $15 after GGC coupon.

Looks like I'll be ordering the set. Was going to order the PlayGear Speakers anyway last night, late into the night, but decided to wait til morning. Didn't see the deal on the site til this thread though.

WOW that bundle together for 17 bucks! thanks im going to order that.

Wow, so this charges your PSP as well? I could really use this, I've been recharging my PSP via USB and that takes forever.

This doesn't charge your PSP.

Great deal though for both, I think the original MSRP for the Amp alone was around $60. Although, it has been this price for some time now, surprised it hasn't been posted before.

That's a damn shame, I took "Operates with included AC adapter" as being able to charge your PSP.

I'll pass, I don't need speakers for my PSP. But a charger/speaker combination would of been nifty.

The (much bigger) Nodus speaker system does charge your PSP and people have gotten it for $35 after buying it at Best Buy (for $200) and price matching +10% Circuit City's price of $50. It's pretty nice for that price.

I bought the Amp last year around this time for $25.

It is not the world's best set of speakers, and they're also not the world's loudest speakers. Cranking the PSP to max and the Amp to max, you'll still have trouble hearing the PSP in a noisy room.

However, they are a great set of travel speakers. They fold up nicely, they come in a zippered case that holds the folded amp and all the cables and power supply.

I use them as the speakers for my keyboard -- they perch nicely right atop the keyboard and deliver a good sound, much better than the buzzy flat speakers I had before and they are light and have a small footprint. I wish they delivered a bit more of a deeper, louder sound. But their convenience, portability, and high degree of usability make up for that.

I also use them when I need to play something (on the PSP or my mp3 player) for others to hear. You can hear it well in a good sized room if there's not a lot of background noise.

You can use AC or 4 AAA batteries, which is also nice for the times you have a power source and times you don't.
if you dont know yet, the playgear makes your psp VERY bulky. not really easy to put in your pocket. lol
It does make it pretty big, but I'd never even think about putting it in my pocket by itself, as I'm way too worried about the slightest damage to the amazing screen. But maybe that's just me.

Also, Play Asia sent me a free USB charger thing when I ordered my PSP that plugs into the DC port. You can probably get one for cheap if you want a convenient way to recharge your PSP without using up an outlet.
