It's been on sale for cheaper before but I'm really in need of a new controller since I'll be trading in my DualShock2 with the Gamestop promotion that's going on.

this controller is awesome! although i think the battery life could be better. but overall, i think i like them better than the original ps2 controllers.

The only game this controller doesn't work with (from my experience) is Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Not sure if Snake Eater works, but for Subsistence, the analog buttons do not work. So it's impossible to aim your gun in first person before shooting. You fire whenever you press circle.

Just got one of these, great controller but does anyone know how to properly turn it off so I don't waste batteries? Thanks.

It will turn itself off after a few minutes of inactivity. Don't think there is a manual way to do it (besides taking the batteries out).

the controller is a little bit on the heavy side but it's the best wireless for PS2.

the DS3 for the PS3 is the best though... amazingly good battery life.

Have you ever seen an electronic toy at a store that lets you try it while it's still in the packaging? It sometimes has a plastic pull-tab that says "pull out tab before trying". You can do the same thing with these if you really feel the need.

Make a plastic or heavy paper strip, open the battery compartment, take out a battery, and slip the strip in between the battery and contact. Close up the compartment while leaving some of the tab sticking out, then when you want to play simply pull out the tab and it's ready.

Or let the auto shut-off do it's job after about 10 minutes, but this isn't an option when you're travelling as the buttons will tend to depress and turn the unit on repeatedly, slowly killing the batteries in the process...
