Seems like a DECENT deal. What I was mainly wondering is is this a decent if not slightly good pair of speakers? I'm gonna be low on dough soon enough and wanted a beginning purchase to satisfy myself in 5.1 with the Onkyo 801 I hope to get.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

The speakers are okay if you don't have a high demand out of your sound systems. I use it for my laptop (with an external sound card) and it's fine. One problem I have with it is that the rear end speakers are not loud enough for my taste. I don't remember correctly, but I don't think it has center/front/rear volume control.

O, I got it for $40 at one point, so if you can wait, you should.

Yeah, I got mine for $45. $60 seems way too much.

They are good speakers, not great.

How the heck you gonna hook them to an Onkyo. Chain the Onk to your PC then out to the speakers?

More importantly......why? These are PC speakers and as such are hardly mind blowing. Using them with a $700 Amp is retarded. Think of it like a ferrari with bicycle tires.

The unit itself doesnt have adjustments. Thats handled via the source (pc/soundcard,etc)

These are entry level 5.1 speakers. Small box, small sound, etc. They work great for their designed purpose but hooking them up to anything with power will show weaknesses.
