I have to go to Colorodo soon, which will be about a 2 day car trip. Could some of you fellow CAG's please suggest me a few games to pick up before I leave on my trip. I love RPG's if that helps. Thanks in advance, and hope to hear about some great games I need to try.

lunar legend, takes 12-16 hours to beat
castlevania: aria of sorrow just beat it today, 7 hours 6 mins with 94% complete, i cant even begin to explain how awesome this game is!!
chu chu rocket - unlimited playtime
phantasy star collection, ive heard it takes 50-80 hours to beat all 3im near the end of ps1 and would estimate about 20 hours

I recommend either of the Golden Suns. I just started the second one today, and it so far may be more enjoyable than the first, which ranks among my favorite RPGs. I agree with punqsux on the AoS, I became so addicted to the game I beat the game with everything except the damn skyfish (i think thats the really fast one's name) soul. Mario and Luigi is pretty great, and if you like fighting games, either of the Street Fighters are an excellent choice.

Thanks for the prompt responses! Another question I had was, is Sword of Mana good? It looked decent even though it got bad reviews. I did like Secret of Mana, if that helps.

It seems it takes a couple seconds every time you move from "screen to screen" since you've played secret, you should know what I mean.

Do you have any of the ポケットモンスター games?
Pocket Monster games are the best RPGs ever. They are great for long trips.

Stoneface I understand What you're saying about Sword of Mana, but is it a decent game? Whats the story like, does it hold your interest? Also, is it very long? And to the other guy... I have LttP already, I love it, and thanks for the suggestion anyways.

i don't have Sword of Mana, but if you enjoyed Secret of Mana, theres no reason you shouldn't like it. I'll probably get it, but $20 is the most I'd pay.

Ummm....I would go and get pie.

Lots and lots of pie. Oh and get golden sun or mega man zero. Zero might anoy your pearents with all the click of buttons though.

I agree with XboxMaster...Get Advance Wars if you dont have it...It takes around 10-15 hours to beat...More if you try and get all the xtras and beat it with all the characters...AW is one great game

I haven't even beaten the campaign and have spent alot more than 10-15 hours on it. It's so fun just playing multiplayer with the AI. Especially creating your own maps to play on. What I like to do is make a map that gives me alot of terrain advantage and I start out with more factories and well placed units. But to make it even, I set it so I have three armies all on the same team against me, now a battle like that could take from 3 to 10 hours to complete, it's all up to you.
golden sun is great and can be had for cheap.

the game I have spent the most time with is SFII
I know you're a fan of fighters, so I'll ask you. I have SFA3 on GBA, is it really worthwile getting SF2 also?

unless im thinking of someone else, i believe casey has 2 copies of sf3:3rd...so he may not be the person to ask this ^^

I traded that one to metroid though  .

Personally I have both but find SFII better for me. I love the music and the gameplay is amazing. I like Alpha 3 but to me nothing compares with SFII

My biggest problem with the game is they did not use some of the classic stages for the game. Chun-Li, Guile, and I think Ken all have different stages.

I think a 2 day road trip would be perfect for getting 100% in any of the metroid games, or both. :)

I guess you guys don't get motion sickness, after looking at the screen for like a long time without taking a break, I feel kinda sick.
^ What made the GBA version better for you, than the PSX version? I have the PSX one and enjoy it.
When you cast magic you cast it you don't have to wait. I thought it was irritating to lay out a spell and have someone move out of the radius in the original. Plus they have this new mechanic called laws which bans some actions for matches. Forces you to have a well rounded party. Plus the assassin is a cool ass character.
Not trying to get off subject but that's awesome. I LIVE IN COLORADO. YEAH!
I used to live there, for a nice kodak moment, I recommend going out and kicking my father right in the nuts.

lol.

We went and saw where my friends father lived when I was back in Texas on vacation. It was hilarious. My friend was ragging on his daddy so hard (they were so trashy they used to have an outhouse)

he hates his dad. His mom used to send him down there when he was bad

I basically dislike my dad for the exact opposite reason. He recently moved into a house I'm sure cost close to 500 grand. He has had 3 jags in four years, and bought my stepmom a mini cooper for valentines day. All this, and he had problems buying me 3 pairs of pants for the year at $20 apiece. He was a cheapass to me and only me, plus he's a short tempered anger freak who couldn't control his rage.

I'm going to echo some of the suggestions already made but you must get Golden Sun 1 and 2 if you haven't already got them. They can be had for $20 a piece new and they both are awesome RPG's. I also highly recommend Fire Emblem. It can be frustrating at times but so addictive I couldn't stop playing. Lunar Legend is good if you want a nice easy RPG that doesn't require a lot of thought but is still fun.

What a way to treat a son

I loved secret of mana back in the day, but for some reason just cant get into sword of mana at all. I was really lookign forward to it. I finished golden sun which I played everyday, started mana and now i play maybe an hour a week if that. just dont have much desire to play it, nothing really engaging about it. im maybe 6 or 7 hours into it.

I have lunar legend and its great. I would also reccomend either of the advance wars games. Also if you have ADD than super monkey ball should satisfy your need perfectly
