Yeah go with NBA 2k9 if you want a sim game.

NBA Live 09 is fun if you want more of an arcade-sim like game. The DNA feature is great and the rewind games are fun too. I had a problem with not being able to play the rewind games a few days ago, but it looks like everything is working fine for me right now.
