Hi. I'm a big fan of the series 24, but I only started watching it in the middle of the 4th season. -_-. I finshed watching Season 1 last month and boy, it was a WILD ride. I am looking to buy Season 2 this month. Are there any sales for Season 2? They're all around 50 dollars, but have you seen it anywhere for less? Would greatly appreciate it.

I think i saw it t target a couple weeks ago for something like $40. It goes up and down. If worst comes to worse, i am sure they will have a deal when S4 comes out on DVD, like "Buy S4 and get $10 off S3 and S2."
I dont think Season 2 will ever reach the $20 price point. The reason studios are making S1s so cheap is to get people hooked on the show so that they will purchase more at the regular price. Worked in my case. I have gotten hooked on 24, Shield, and Arrested Development because of cheap S1 sets.

I agree with Sman. Season 2s will never drop that low. That defeats the purpose of dropping the Season 1s. Even those are back up to regular price in most cases. 24 Season 1 was around $20 here and there but recently it's been full price everywhere I've seen it.
Your best bet for Season 2 is to keep an eye out on the ads. It randomly drops to $40. If you're as hooked as I am, you might just go ahead and shell out $50 for them to save time.
Also, how much of Season 4 did you watch? Seems like that would spoil some things.

i think u shouldnt watch season 4 until u really appreciate seasons 1-3. also, u will find out who jack bauer really is.

I did the same. And even though i knew what twist was coming in season 1 from seeing all the press about it and watching S2, i was still totally shocked in how it played out. And i would even say that knowing what was coming actually made my anticipation that much greater b/c i couldnt figure out how it was coming.
Also, S4 had a lot less threads that led back to the first few, only two that i remember (the tony thing and the girl who shook Prez Cerano's hand). The first three seasons, though, kinda run together as a trilogy, imo.

Oh? Lol... I bought S1 for 50 bucks because I REALLY wanted it after watching the endof S4. Maybe I shouldn't have begun watching S4 in the middle, but i was really a fan. One day, i was started watching it and wham!!! I'm there every Monday from 9 and 10pm.

This Scedule wont last. You'll be done with S3 by the end of July, then, in anticipation for S4 on DVD, you'll want to rewatch at least one season.. THEN in anticipation of S5 in January, you'll watch two more seasons in December.
Thats what happened to me. I bought S1 on Black Friday last year. Began watching it a week later and finished it in four days. The next weekend i went and purchased S2 and S3 (had already seen them on broadcast), watched season 2 in two -- maybe 2 1/2 -- days. Finally, the week before S4 began, i watched S3 (this time i paced myself, taking about 8 days to watch it.) I would have watched more this summer, accept i've gotten addicted to other shows -- i.e. The Shield, Arrested Development, and Quantum Leap (PLUS i have Firefly, Murder One, and Smallville to watch now that my DDD orders have all arrived -- if only i didnt have a day job.)

When should we expect the Season 4 DVD to be released?
I thought season 5 is coming out next year in January, so I expect season 4 on DVD coming out around the same time.
For OP, look for online coupons for sites like overstock and coconut (or DDD if you can wait for a couple months). They have the seasons at a couple bucks over $40, so 15% coupon shoud knock it under $40.
O, check your Sunday ads every week. Some stores sometimes decide to drop it to $39.99 for one week.

For those 24 fans that just can't get enough, I'm here to let you know that there's much, much more than just the four seasons.
First and foremost, there's the soundtrack that everyone should own.
There's the 24: The House Special Subcommittee's Findings at CTU book, which covers what happened between seasons 1 and 2, including spoiler's autopsy, Jack Bauer's testimony in front of the grand jury, and more.
There's also not one, not two, but three 24 comics.. at least, I think there's just the three.
There's also an unofficial guide, as well as another unofficial guide.
