I've been looking at the Samsung LNS3241D 32" LCD HDTV. My budget is around 800-900 dollars. Is this the best deal for the money? Obviously I'd like to be closer to 800 rather than 900 :). And the TV is primarily getting used for playing the 360 with some little cable/dvd watching.

Circuit City is going to have a 32" Olevia for $499 as part of their Memorial Day sale. I don't know anything about the quality, but the price is great.

Have you considered spending a little more for a 37 or 42 inch? 32 is pretty small for a widescreen tv if this is going to be your primary television.

Speak for yourself lol....
Very nice TV for the Price. Picture Quality is on Par with Higher End Samsung and Sony's.
Dang! Got beat to it twice. I was going to give the same link.

Might have to pick this one up for that price. Its gotten pretty good reviews, for what I have seen

Dude that's what I was gonna say! I just saw a good setup at Sears that put a 32" LG underneath a 37" LG. I never realized the viewing area was that much larger, but now I'm all about the 37-incher. The 37-incher dwarfed the 32-incher.

Also I was in Wal Mart over the weekend looking for some Clearance stuff and found the 26" Vizio for 450.00 new in box if you want something now and new not refurb.

as far as the 32" TV, I don't really have room for bigger. the price is right on that vizio but i don't want a refurbished. right now the best price i can find on the samsung is $739 shipped. so i don't really want to go higher than that, but if i can get equivalent for less then that would be great.

Well the Vizio is 599.99 at Sams Club and Sears and thats new. However don't fear the Refurb you still get a warranty (90 days) and return policy (only for broken stuff) and for the price and free ship I think its worth it. Also Vizio offers an extended warranty on there site a year for 49.99 I think. Again This is just my opinion.
You can get a great LCD for that price...

That's the one I have and I love it. Much better than the Olevia and Westinghouse models I was looking at.
Wow, that's a great price. I would go for this Sharp, or the Samsung if you can afford it. When you're making a purchase like this, it's best not to cheap out and save that 100-200 dollars now to have to spend it later anyways if the TV goes bad.

Yeah, if shopdigital is a reliable store, go for that Sharp. It's last year's model, but there's essentially no difference between it and this year's model (32D43U).

I have a 20 inch sharp aquos, and I'm about to upgrade to a bigger one.

In my opnion, Sharp makes one of the best quality and most reliable TV on the market. I've had my sharp for over a year now, and it's been great.

Some friends of mine have Samsungs and Sony's, and they've addmited the picture on mine can sometimes be better.
i've never even heard of vizio...how do they compare to samsung/sony?
Ive seen nothing but glowing reviews from consumers on them... they get alot of the components in the tv from bigger name companies as well... I know their 37" lcd is 799 at Sams... Id opt for one of those instead of a 32"
i went with the sharp, thanks everyone.
Which one? The one I linked to isn't there any more... guess it's sold out. Well, either one will serve you well. Congrats.:)
I've been thinking about buying that Vizio from Buy.com all day. Finally pulled the trigger. :D
You'll be happy. Like I said earlier, the picture quality it amazing on HD. Very Very Very Close to that of a Sony or Samsung. The best thing? Bascially Half the price also. Enjoy!

I have also thought about it for my bed room TV however my wife put a stop to that. I dont think you will regret it, the only knocks I have on Vizio are the colors are kind of muted but I like it that way. The SD is kind of weak compared to some other sets but not bad.

OP you made a good choice that Sharp is a kick ass set you shall be happy also.

HD all around it's a good day.

I was in Big Lots yesterday and saw they had a 32" Olevia for $499. Came a 1 year in home warranty through Olevia. So you dont have to send it out and the set is awesome. I have one in my room here is are some pics of the quality.

Look into Olevia...Seriously.

Not all Olevia TV's have a 1-year in-home warranty. I'd check on the website before you assume that. The 5-series do, though I'm not sure about the 4-series. The 2-series and 3-series don't, I know that for sure.

The one that'll be $499 at CC is the 2 series, like it was during black friday.

I got this TV on the Black Friday Online Sale at BB for 800 bucks. It was well worth it! But, now I want a larger one.

I believe so.

I paid 599 with mine from TD 1.5 years ago excellent set...Way better than a lot of the crap I see on the shelves and in peoples homes...

As far as I know every Olevia comes with 1 year in home, unless they changed it but last time I checked everyone of their current sets do...Which is what ultimately sold me, you cant beat an in home repair on a television...

I've actually been looking at that sharp 32" (the newer model) they have it on amazon for $856 free shipping, but I was just wondering if buying TVs online is the best idea.

Would it be better to just buy it for more at a B&M store for return/warranty purposes? It would be a bitch to ship the thing back to amazon or another online store.

They have the sharp at Best Buy for $999 (last time I was there anyway) and I was thinking with a 12% off coupon that they'll have floating around some time plus tax it would be around $924.
