Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone has a recommendation for a program to catalog my collection of games, DVDs, CDs, etc. I was hopefully looking for a program that would be free, I'm not sure how often I would use this since I can also just look at my games and see everything. I think it is more or less just something to have fun with, but also to be able to take a quick look at to see if it is in my collection, etc. So really, I don't want to pay for it.

AngellicLuLu is how I originally came up with the idea. She had a blog about cataloging her collection of stuff and used a program called Delicious Library 2, which looks totally awesome. I would even consider paying for that since it looks great and seems to offer a lot of extras, but unfortunately I don't have a Mac (at least not yet, I'm hoping soon though :bouncy: )

So anyhow, I was just curious if anyone had suggestions. I have found a few:

http://download.cnet.com/Household-Register-2009/3000-2131_4-10004854.html?tag=mncol;pop (this would be nice to have a record of everything I have, but it doesn't seem like what I want to use for just my media collection since there are no images, etc.)

http://download.cnet.com/Libra/3000-2131_4-10715967.html (this is the one I really like since it is similar to Delicious, but I don't like the reviews of people saying it is Spyware, so I'm a little nervous about it)

http://download.cnet.com/Hula/3000-2074_4-10730120.html (Pretty boring looking, basically just looks like what my library used when they first got computers :D but I suppose it would work, but I was hoping to find something a little more detailed, but for free I guess I can't expect much)

Thanks for any suggestions!

I use Listal.com.

It's not gorgeous or anything, but its serviceable and free. You'll get a kink or two with double entries or wrong boxart, but otherwise every item with a different UPC can be catalogued.

snag a free copy of Collectorz through emusic.

I've used the DVD and the Games portion. Upgraded the Games portion to Pro with just $10.

It's fair and the bookshelf feature is nice to look at. Pro gives you export ability so you can put it on your phone, certain apps on smartphones or iphone.
I just use an excel spreadsheet (or the openoffice.org equivalent.)
Yeah, that is what I'm working on doing now, until I decide what I will use software wise. I was going to use Access, but even after taking the class in college, I still don't get it

The spreadsheet works, I would just like to have something that is more specifically designed for this type of thing and looks better. But, for now, it gets the job done.

Thanks for your reply!
