anyone know where I can nab a drive (a good brand, and not anything by lite on) for cheap?

Battlefield 2 will not run and I am about to cry after two days of trying everything under the sun to get it to run

I would, but I also bought MOH:pA and it is having the same problem with not playing after it installs. I would rather have the problem fixed so I no longer have to worry about it.

no. I don't burn CD's and would never even use it. Looking for just a basic DVD-Rom drive

[quote name='Murcielago77']what do you have against lite-on?

its the brand giving me the problem

and thanks for posting those. Anyone know of any good B&M deals?

Any of those drives listed by Murcielago77 are decent enough to play games on. I've been using Lite-Ons for years in my computers without much of a problem. I'd go with newegg unless you want to deal with MIR's.

I just replaced my Matisha 16x DVD-ROM drive with a DVD-RW drive. It's in perfect condition, and it always ran everything flawlessly. I'll sell it to you for $18 if you want (and free shipping).
