This is for my PC.

I won't be using it a whole bunch and I know nothing about Xbox controllers. What do you guys suggest at a decent price for light use?
 
Would you prefer a wired or a wireless one? You should be able to just plug n play with a wired 360 controller n those are cheaper than the wireless usually.
 
A wired one.

Started reading some older threads and it seems like there aren't too many cheap, quality alternatives. Amazon has Microsoft wired controller for $30. Should I just get an original controller?
 
If it's the cheapest you've seen a wired controller around, then I say go for it. Although if you have a Sears around, you should check for the Xbox Live Arcade pack with the wireless controller. That's only $19.97 there and comes with some XBLA games in the package with the controller.
