Looking for a deal on the PS2! Help!

I think I'm going with the PS2 mainly because I already have a Nintendo DS lite and I thought having a Sony would bring me more variety gamewise. Does anyone know any good deals?

I'm not sure which to get. I'm looking for a gamecube or a ps2 cheaper than hopefully $70. And also suggestions on which is better.

Depends on what you want to play. PS2 gives you a crap ton of games and a lot can be had for cheap used (i.e. good stuff for $10 or less). It also doubles as a semi decent DVD player.

GameStops have all the Gamecubes you ever wanted for only $39.99. GameStops tend to have a ton, so you don't have to pick the purple box.
