Looking for a few cheapass platform games for PS2 or GC.

CAGiversary!
Im in the mood for some platform games, new or used is fine, please post any recommendations that you might have with links if possible. Also Im interested in Klonoa 2 for PS2 at a fairly cheap price. I have an edge card so anything from ebgames will be appreciated.

Well.... theres the Jak + Daxter series. 1 is more platformy than the others, and you can get 1 and 2 for $13 and $18 respectively, thats before the Edge card mind you.

Also the PS2 version of i-Ninja is only $10 now before the Edge card so you might wanna check that one out.

Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex is $15 before Edge.

Donald Duck: Going Quakers (not too bad of a game actually) is $13

Haven:Call of the King is $8 I'd recommend this one mostly cause its halfway decent and cheap :D

and seriously if you haven't played ICO buy it now. $13

Thats all for now, out of the ones I've listed I'd recommend Haven, i-Ninja, J&D 1, and Ico.

Happy platforming :D

P.S. all prices are for PS2 at Ebgames, and are before the CAG/Edge discount.

The Prince of Persia games have some pretty decent 3D platforming.

Try out the Sly Cooper games on PS2 as well. They're pretty fun for having a racoon as the lead character.

Sly cooper gets my vote. Hooray for Murray!

The first Prince of Persia and the Sly series get my vote. I've also heard some good stuff about the other platformers out there...while others fall more along the line of an action-platforming game. Check out my thread in the GameCube thread, as many people answered my question about the same topic.

Ty2, I know it is from the Evil EA publisher but it is a cute little platformer and no I haven't bought it but I read some good stuff about it.

Haven is decent; half maybe a third of the game is platforming. The other parts consist of driving, shooting, flying. I thought it was a really tough game at some levels.

I'd say look for maximo. Check local EB as I think their website doesn't have it. Gamestop also has it for something like $6.

The first 2 Ratchet and Clank games are both under 15 dollars each AC at ebgames.com. I'd highly recommend both of these, they're platforming classics IMO.

maximo is 5.99 at ebgames. played a little of it. seems fun and hard at the same time. what about metal arms for ps2. anyone try this game yet?

played jak1 and loved it. took quite awhile to finish. it really had that gta-freeroam feel to it. playing the jak2 demo now... and dying a lot. i'm still a ps2 noob so i'm trying to catch up on old, used games. heh

anyone play metal arms for ps2?
i'm thinking of gettin it cuz it has multiplayer too.
