i need something that will work well with capcom fighting games preferably with 6 buttons on the front but if you know of any high quality ps2 like controllers i could use one of those too as long as it will work through the usb port. its damn impossible to play those kinds of games with a keyboard.

best solution - get the usb Saturn pad for PC. Personally I prefer the keyboard over dpad due the extra buttons i can use for shortcut.

I don't recommend the 360 gamepad cuz of it's crappy D-Pad. I hear you might get use to it over time, but blech... just get a PS2 converter, that's what I did and it's worked great for YEARS.

Yeah, no way the 360 pad for Capcom fighting games. I don't even play SFII on Live anymore because it feels like you are doing some sort of rhytmic dance with the other player as you both try to do moves but can't get them out, so you end up just moving toward each other or away or jumping and crouching.

I originally bought the 3 in 1 Joy Box (sounds nasty!) from Lik-Sang a while back, to use the Saturn pad, playstation pad, and dreamcast pad on the PC. Radioshack had a PSII adaptor on clearence a while back so maybe you could get one of those.

How about this gamepad?

Anywhere cheaper than this retailer? $22.53 shipped. Is this retailer reliable?

Best bet is get teh SNes to USb adapter it works perfectly for me. Its under the above price point if you already have a snes controller... If not I wouldnt suggest the off brand controllers as they look the same but dont work the same.

The snes controller is awesome on the PC in my opinion.

I have the earlier model of that controller, biggest difference is that the Dpad is sunken down, whereas that one is raised. My only gripe is that when I use with emus, for some reason you can pretty much only use the left analog stick. But thats probably just me. Other than that, its a solid pad

Currently, I have a bright blue Disney controller that I picked up for 5 bucks at CompUSA a couple of years ago. Yeah, its blue and yellow, but it works like a friggin charm, plus is built like a tank too

so i ended up getting the usb adapter for the ps2 controller but im having problems getting te thing recognized by my pc. i put in the disk and it loads up the drivers and all but when i hook up the controller it tells me to choose thdrivers for it and when i do it always tells me to install the win 98 disk and when i do that nothing happens. can someone give me a step by step of how to get around this ad get this thing recognized already?
