Looking for a good Angband/Zangband (or other Rogue-like)..

Its been a long time since I've played these games so I'm wondering if any of you are aware of any good new versions. I've been googling for the better part of an hour and am only finding old sites with broken links.

Does the game live on anywhere?

Ideally I would like one with a graphic tile set and nothing too bizarre (variant-wise). I'd also prefer one that is a little more modern (includes Beastmen, quest-lines, etc...)

ADOM http://www.adom.de/ is pretty popular, though it can be pretty difficult. It's closest to what you were asking for.
Doom Roguelike http://doom.chaosforge.org/ is a favorite of mine, though much simpler than other RL games. Well worth checking out, the combat has an excellent feel to it, and it's suitably difficult, especially with challenge modes.
Dwarf Fortress http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/ is a very very basic roguelike if you play adventure mode, but in fortress mode it gives you an incredibly deep city builder roguelike. Well worth checking out, though if you don't do the city building it's not as good as ADOM or DoomRL.
Finally, Nethack http://www.nethack.org/ probably the best known of the bunch. Doesn't have much in the way of questlines, but for dungeon crawling you can't do much better.

Hope you get at least one out of that bunch you like.
