I bought an AGP and just realized i have a PCI slot...so i need a PCI graphics card, $50 or less if possible. Looking to do light gaming, nothing like crysis but perhaps Nwn 2?

yeh save ur bling, a 50 dollar gfx card aint gonna get you too far especially if its pci, since its a dead format for new cards for a couple years now, so in essence youll be getting something that was bottom of the line 3 years ago.

My girlfriend has a Dell Dimension B110, if the 9250 is better than the systems built-in graphics, then i'll go for it. Not sure if it is better though...

*EDIT: the built-in graphics are; "Intel Extreme 2 Integrated Graphics with 64MB Shared Memory".

That Radeon 9250 really isn't very good, and NWN2 is more graphic-intensive than you might think. I know it's not what you want to hear, but your best bet is to get a new computer. If you want a better video card, you'll need a new motherboard, which probably means new CPU, RAM, and maybe even power supply.

You can either buy a cheapy Dell and add a video card or buy a pre-built system that's capable of gaming. Either way, there's a lot of knowlegable people on this forum who can lead you in the right direction.

The Geforce 6200 is only slightly better than the Radeon 9250. Both are low-end cards from their series, but the Geforce 6 series is from a newer generation.

They are roughly the same performance wise. If you want the best bang for your buck, go with the 6200 and overclock it 10%. That should be able to run everything in the Orange Box fairly well at 1024x768.

The plan was def. to overclock it, will i need any extra cooling for 10% OC?

Well, i'm going to wait. I have a 500W PS on the way so i might as well just start the slow process of building a new computer.

Good idea. You were looking at cards that were dinky like 4 years ago, so waiting on it to get something good is definitely the best option.

Yeah, I about to say, what you really need is a new computer. Even AGP has come and gone, so you're two generations behind.

Actually, cases are something you'll keep for years and years and can mean the difference between hot or cold temperatures, and how many scabby knuckles you have. They often get overlooked, but it's actually one of the few things you should never skimp on (the same goes for power supplies and monitors).
