Looking for a ps3..

I dont even mind if it's MSRP, I'd just like to get it online so I can avoid tax. Amazon says it won't ship for 1-2 months! I have amazon prime so that would have been my best option, plus a $20 videogame credit. Oh well. Any advice? sales im not aware of?

Amazon usually gets and ships the item before they say they will. Best thing to do is put an order on Amazon and keep checking stores around you while you wait.

I'm in the same boat, I wanted to get a ps3 by the time gow3 came out & was going to use my $20 credit from bc2 towards a ps3 on amazon to avoid taxes. I had no idea they were out of stock though =(

In this economy I feel you, check your local pawnshop often, it worked for me. $150 works like a charm.

At my costco ps3 bundle comes with console, extra controller, Uncharted: Drakes fortune, and blu-ray remote control... probably what i'll pick up. Any thoughts?

I'm looking for a good price on a 250GB slim PS3 to replace our broken 80GB. Going to give it one more try to fix it so that I can use the Transfer Utility and get all of the game data moved over. Gutted.

Well, I was just looking online, and apparently, the best deal is finding one actually in stock. Amazon isn't even allowing you to buy one at the moment and best buy is sold out of all models online and in-store. Guess it's tax money time. I was considering picking up a slim because my audio receiver is having serious issues, but only with the PS3, so I'm thinking it might be the PS3, not the receiver. Was going to test the theory with a new slim anyway. Guess that's not really an option at the moment...

I the problems your slim has with the receiver are static and occasional drops, I would try bypassing the receiver and going straight to your TV with a short HDMI cable before I went out and bought a new PS3. If that fixes the problem, you might be able to get away with just using and HDMI extender/repeater rather than a whole new PS3 slim.

FWIW... I've had a slim, a 60gb, and a 40gb MGS model, and the slim was, by far, the most sensitive to long HDMI runs and other sources of interference.
