Looking for a rare anime.

From a non private seller I have no idea. Though Amazon does have a few people selling GE 999. If you are looking for the Grapic Novels for 999 I know Rightstuff and Discount Anime Anime DvD both have them in for about $12 each.

I have seen the manga, but im actually checking for the movies, they are a bitch to find.

Both of the Galaxy Express 999 movies have yet to be released on DVD here for whatever reason. I've been waiting for a DVD release for 8 years and continue to wait.

You can always import them, but if you don't speak Japanese, it'd be kind of pointless. I haven't checked lately, but there are probably people on ebay selling bootleg dvds made off of the tapes that were released in 99 but I prefer to have legal copies...if they EVER make them.

I'd just buy the videos and track down someone with a DVD burner to make a copy until an offical release shows up. That way, you can keep the VHS in better condition (just in case the DVD never comes.)

I know I rented Adieu once, but that was years ago, and damned if I can remember what rental place we got it at.

I remember seeing both of these movies almost ten years ago, but not unlike every other good 90's television show, they haven't released the DVD set. I doubt they ever will, so your best bet would be to find both 999 movies online and burn them to DVD.

I doubt the US will ever see GE999 released. It is a long and old series that probably won't appeal to the current anime fans here in the States.

Also, there are three movies for Galaxy Express 999 and three tv specials as well.

Well, it took forever and a damn day to get golgo 13 here. And Barefoot Gen comes out in Sept or Oct, with both of the movies. So it is a possiblity
