Looking for a Record Player

CAGiversary!
I want to get a turntable just to use around the house. No frills, no digital transfer stuff necessary and I was wondering the best place to get one. amazon has one for like 70, but I'm hoping I can find something cheaper.

Pawn Shop, Thrift Store, Grandparent, Attic...All good places to start to find a cheap turntable without all the digital thrills. Yard sales are another bet...but riskier in my opinion.

If you ever have any DJing aspirations and want a turntable that will allow for that too, you don't want anything but direct drive. Gemini is a decent second tier brand, Numark used to be kinda crappy, but it's been several years since I was DJing. Technic is the gold standard. The cheapest DJ-worthy turntable though, is probably not going to be less than $200.

If you have a local Big Lots check there. I Got one as a xmas gift and it plays records, cds, am/fm radio too. Im pretty sure it only cost 50 bucks and looks pretty sleek.
