Turtles in Time: Re-Shelled is hard when I'm playing it alone. :(
Reshelled was such a disappointment.
Devil May Cry 3 is my game of the decade :D
I kind of want Darksiders now over Bayonetta...can't decide if I should get it though.

does not compute. do you want a real sequel to your game of the decade or some game that just looks kinda alright?

My Game of the Decade is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I've played through that game like...15 times.

Found all the Riddler challenges in Batman--mostly by myself, had to google some guides for a couple of them.

Now to mess around with the challenges a bit, then move on to something else.
Reshelled was such a disappointment.
It really is, I don't think I've been this disappointed in a game in a while. Hopefully it'll be a little better with multiple players, though.

I kinda of want Bayonetta. But I just can't justify buying yet another game I won't play right now. I just started another game of Mass Effect(To refresh the story and reach level 60) and I want to play Wild Arms 5 and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

Now I regret not getting a code for that Chocobo avatar pet.

I love how he's got a screenshot including a $99.00 starting bid and a $20 buy it now, but chooses to go on about how they're selling for $99. :roll

What the fuck?! I could've sold that thing?!

The worst part is that people might assume that I was dumb enough to pay for mine. Oh well.

Bayonetta != "real" sequel to DMC3. Entirely different gameplay. Next you'll be saying god of war 3 is a real sequel to Ninja Gaiden Black. :whee:

However, it should be noted that people who have played darksiders are saying there's very noticeable graphics issues. Bayonetta has graphics problems, but not anything like the ones I'm reading about for darksiders.

I doubt it will end up going for much? Then again, some of the stupid codes that MS has given away before end up going for crazy prices on eBay... but I can't see this one being worth the time to sell on eBay.

Besides, if my Tekken 6 LE Bundle refuses to get offers for more than I paid for it (considering I'm offering free shipping, the offers have been really insulting), I can't imagine a stupid free code making tons of cash. (I can't even manage to dump a brand new 360 arcade unit on CL at the moment. fucking economy... :( )

well mr. frost, having marathoned 11 hours with bayonetta over the past 2 days, I have to beg to differ. They obviously haven't said anything about it being like DMC (probably for legal reasons) and a lot hasn't been said about the game's structure, but there are a ton of similarities to DMC. In fact, it feels more like DMC does than DMC4 did while playing as Nero. Bayonetta the character plays a lot closer to Dante than Nero did. The gameplay is not entirely different at all. Take DMC's styles and weapons, then break them up into individual moves...that's bayonetta's move set. The accessory system in Bayonetta is like a customizable style system. The way enemies mob and attack you is straight from DMC as well, except enemies are more aggressive in Bayonetta. Many of the normal enemies are actually copies of bosses from DMC games. Not to say it's a lazy copy of DMC, it's DMC gameplay on crack with a lot of added depth. Need I go on? well, I'm enjoying this, so I will...

Aside from gameplay, the structure and flow of the game is just like DMC3. The Jeanne and Bayonetta scenes may as well be Dante and Virgil. The other cutscenes could just as easily have Dante in them, since they all follow the typical DMC cutscene-- character sees huge enemy, character makes smart ass comment to said enemy, enemy gets mad, player rides rockets around, etc. and the fight begins. Jeez, she even starts referring to fights as "parties," which is what Dante does the whole game in DMC3. Just replace Bayonetta's cheesy jazz music with cheesy industrial metal and you've got a DMC game. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was made from modified design docs for the original DMC4.

"entirely different"

It does have some graphics issues...the screen tearing is almost as bad as the God of War games.

I played more Dragon Age last night. I stayed up 'til 2am. Man, is that game addicting to me...I already want a sequel or at least more Bioware games like this.

I also love Steve Valentine and Claudia Black--those guys are terrific VAs...

Xbox Live is by far the shittiest thing I have ever paid for ever. It is barely ever not a colossal fuck up. Getting this shit to ever do anything is like trying to have sex with a penguin who got caught in an oil spill.

I've already finished the game 4 times, and all I can think about is my next playthrough...

Played games all afternoon.

Dicked around a little more with Batman. Grabbed a couple easy achievements I'd missed. Tried out challenge, mode and as expected didn't care for it. So I'm done with it finally. Fantastic game for sure.

Started up Shadow Complex and got sucked in for a few hours. Great game, right up my alleys since my all time favorite game is Super Metroid. I'm a bit past that part where you get the scuba gear.

Gameplay. Gameplay is entirely different. The story/cutscenes/plot are absolutely garbage. The emphasis on the dodge mechanic makes it almost a requirement of gameplay. There was no need to try to insert dodge moves into your combos in any DMC game. The emphasis on timed evasion changes the gameplay entirely in my point of view. The magic generation and use system is also something completely different from a DMC game. You say it's the same, I disagree. Still a solid and fun game. Go enjoy it some more... (the Alfheims are fucking ridiculous, at least on hard...)

I'm not saying it's the same, but that there is more than a little borrowed from DMC, gameplay wise. at its foundation, it's dmc. Like I said, it's like a modified DMC sequel. no doubt there are plenty of things that set it apart, but then again, that's what a good sequel would do.

You apparently didn't think DMC4 felt like a DMC game... yet, at it's foundation, it was still DMC with a varied moveset for half the game. ;)

The only reason I said anything is I happened to really like DMC4, particularly playing as Nero -- so I don't agree that Bayonetta is a "proper" sequel to DMC3.

Summary: Bayonetta is like DMC but different. Still good though.

I finished MadWorld tonight. The commentary for the credits made me laugh out loud a couple of times.

I'm not sure what to move onto now. DMC3 maybe, seeing as I just got it last weekend.

I almost bought Shadow Hearts Covenant today but didn't.

I know it's supposed to be good, but does it still hold up?

And as far as the Bayonetta thing goes, I don't know. I'll want to try it first and see if the slowdown really is an issue or not. If it is that's why I'd want Darksiders more.

I decided to finally open up my GoW collection and download the demo. Too bad the demo is taking forevveerrr.

So now I'm playing Trials HD.

My buddy is over this afternoon and we're playing Borderlands.

Wife took the kiddies to see Princess and the Frog.

MW2 online has been really horrible for me latley; It's almost impossible to accept an invite. "Attempt #1" just hovers on the screen for a second and than it says "unable to connect to host" Have any of you been having this happen?

I beat Assassin's Creed II in just under 17 hours.
WHAT!?
For a Platinum, I need to find
96 Feathers and 4 Tombs. I also need like 1 weapon and a few paintings for all of those. I'm guessing if I finish all the Tombs, I get a final weapon. Getting all those feathers will SUCK!
11 hours is weak compared to your PDZ play time.
Oh shit dawg! PDZ IS THE BOMB! Way better than that shitty Bayonetta.

It really took you that long? I don't remember it taking that long... maybe it did. I'd say 15-20 was with everything. :S
The feathers aren't too terrible, really... I'm surprised you didn't do the
tombs as you progressed in the story. I felt like they were more part of the story than some of the story missions and most of the side type missions...

When you unlock altair's armour, you can then buy his sword.

had the flu all weekend, didn't do shit. Still feel awful.. ugh.

well, that's because PDZ is a much better game.

 Same here. I have pneumonia. It is starting to die down (on day 15 of being sick). But, every time I think it is gone, it just comes back ugh.

I think I'm done with the steam sale. Ended up getting:
Civ IV Complete-14
Max Payne Collection-4
Braid-2.50
Audiosurf-2.50
Killing Floor-5.00
Torchlight-5.00

For a total of 33 bucks. Not bad, not bad at all. Anyone else have Killing Floor?

I'm officially addicted to Goozex. I'm digging through my old PC games and PSX games. Stuff I haven't touched in 5+ years and throwing them up to trade.

It's not so much for the points or receiving games, but it's more just to clean house and knowing they're going to someone that actually wants to play 'em.

I might have to go digging through the attic and see if I have any of the big cardboard boxes left for my PC games. I used to keep those.
shut up $$$

played Bayonetta yet?
Not yet. My Best Buy's got it, but my 360 is at school. I won't be back there till the 5th, which made finding the game before its release date decidedly less exciting. I'll probably pick it up today though, just so I can play it as soon as I get back.

I got Killing Floor also. We need to get a CAG game together.

Is it really that much better than DMC4 and NGS2? I haven't even seen gameplay footage of Bayonetta yet -- I'm just assuming that it's good.
