Isn't EA planning two years worth of DLC?
Bioware also promised more DLC for ME. But maybe they learned from the mistakes they made with that. But I might hold off on the PC version anyway since I'll be getting ME2(360) and a few other games soon. I also have some PC games to play from that Steam sale... and I still haven't touched the Monkey Island games.
bububububu by the same guy who made the original Jam!

I'd rather have an HD SSX though, EA.
This man knows what he's talkin' about.
Yikes, I can't even imagine how terrible....

LONG GS STORY OF WHAT THE HELL?
That's what you get for going to Gamestop.

Yup, but I can't resist flipping free to cheap games to them for mucho credit.
Which in turn allow me to pick up items to flip to ebay.

I do dislike their stores, it's just too easy to take advantage of though.

The most annoying thing (for me) at Gamestop is when they treat you like you have absolutely no gaming knowledge and tell you things that you know. It's like asking, "I would like to preorder Mass Effect 2 please" "Oh, if you play the first game - this is the second one - you can put your save info from the first into the second. Pretty cool huh?" Ugh, I seriously know more about "gaming" then ANY Gamestop employee. Please stop telling me facts. I mean, I understand it is their job but it is just a pet peeve of mine.

Like I was just at Best Buy and I asked if they were out of 120gb HDD's for 360 and the guy said they were but another employee came over and said, "You could always just use two 60gb's!" and I laughed. But then the other employee said, "Stop man. You are going to confuse the guy". Like I'm a fucking dumbass that would believe that would work...

Anyways, I got to go return these two 60gb hdd's... =/

What are these "free to cheap" games you speak of, and how on earth do you get "mucho credit" from GS for them??

To be fair most of the people who actually shop there are idiots...
To be fair most of the people who actually shop there are idiots...
Yeah, most of the times the customers in the store are more annoying than the employees.

I haven't been shopping at GS in quite a while and don't intend to. I get free $25 GCs to there, but I've been giving them away as gifts.

Oh shit, is the Dragon Age expansion retail pack exclusive to GS?

True story from a friend of mine who went to buy a simple controller from GS.

Friend: I'd like to purchase this controller, please.
GS Employee: Sure thing. Would you like to preorder Madden with that?
Friend: Nah, I don't like sports games.
GS: Wait, what? What kind of games do you like, then?
Friend *stares at controller, then at his own shirt* ...Puzzle Games.

I have the exact opposite problem at the Gamestops and Best Buys around here. They all manage to hire the only people under 30 that don't seem to play video games at all. It boggles my mind. At least they have enough knowledge to not refer to every system as a Nintendo.

Hate to break it to you, but you're not the average customer that comes into Gamestop. Not even close. Out of all the customers I deal with in a day. Maybe 1 is what we would consider a gamer. So you have to tell people things like "This is an expansion you know?" or "It's Grand Theft Auto IV not I-V (as in the letters)." If you don't tell these people every little detail about the game they will come back and complain.

I've worked retail in numerous places, and the one constant is that 99% of the customers are fucking idiots.

I've been on both sides of the fence--between the customer idiocy and the customer service idiocy, I'd say we have much of the human race covered.

They come from the little clearances and special sales sprinkled throughout the year.

Namely the Blockbuster clearances be it the disc only sales, or the cheap b1g1 sales.
Or Hollywood video with their $5 clearance sales.
You also have the odd free game from Best Buy (happened 4 times last year) though that may be over. Sears and Target yield good results from time to time.

All this combined with the various trade in coupons GS does weekly, or their 'power trades' percentage or cash bonus. Plus Edge.

I'm almost never have below $100 in credit there. I can't remember the last time I spent real money.
The only things I buy are gameboy advance games and misc hardware to resell.

Almost all my new games come from Amazon.

Ahh, thanks dallow. The Blockbusters I have access to suck ass in terms of game selection. And we don't have Hollywood Videos over here either. :(

This is so true that its scary.

My last trip to GS was with my sister about 3 weeks before X-mas. I was helping her pick out some games to get for her son (my nephew) to go with the Wii she was buying for him. About 2 minutes after we got there, a van pulled up outside and 50 kids popped out. It was like one of those clown car gags where they just kept coming. I turned to my sister and yelled "RUN! Here comes a stampede!" Needless to say, we left and wound up coming back about an hour later, and it was like walking into a completely different store the way those kids totaled it. Game cases thrown all over the damn place, tons of shit out of order and in wrong sections, they had even managed to dislodge one of the shelving fixtures and one employee was trying to repair it. I think he was crying. I almost felt sorry for the guy, and I did, until he asked me if I wanted to preorder anything. Then I went back to hating him.

I do dislike the customers more than the employees at GS.
Save for that one.

Then again, I don't really like people.
I love Bayonetta! Darksiders is ok.
Switch that for me.
Then again, I don't really like people.
High five, brother!

I don't know how it is elsewhere, but the thing I can't stand about GS's is not the games missing box/manual, not the employees/customers, but the stores themselves. Everyone I've been too is cluttered to hell. It honestly makes navigating the store a nightmare. I feel like pac-man rounding corners and avoiding other people. The plastic peripheral craze definitely did not help it either.

Combat in DMC3 is fantastic. Level design could use some work though...

How far are you and what difficulty are you playing on?

Oh, I 100% agree. I worked at Best Buy, Circuit City, Ebgames and Gamestop. And it was amazing how dumb the customers were. This is just a pet peeve of mine, that I don't hold onto. It is just annoying when I do "prove" I know something they still talk down to me.
Is anyone doing the Darksiders/Bayonetta deal at TRU?
Nah, I already got 'em cheap from amazon and I always have a hard time using GCs @TRU 'cause there's only one store in the whole state and they never have what I want in stock.
Wooo, I got accepted into the OnLive beta. Check your emails, anyone else get one?
No. :(

Not yet anyways... I'm hoping I get an offer soon. Did they email or snail mail it to you?

Crap, I want in on OnLive!
Crap, did I register?
Crap, can you register somewhere?
Is anyone doing the Darksiders/Bayonetta deal at TRU?
Nah, both games will hit cheaper than $40 quickly.
Bayonetta is worth getting though.

Decided to put in an order at gohastings.com instead.

Punch-out, MadWorld and Resident Evil 4 (Yes, I've never played this) for 46.00 shipped.

I forgot to do the connection tests they sent me like a month ago. I wonder if it's too late?

Are you playing the Wii version? I'm not sure how it would translate from 3rd person shooter to point and click. :whistle2:?

From what I've heard from friends, it's not bad at all. Plus, you can still use the GCube controller.

received Bayonetta today! though i didnt have time to play it.

I'm debating between GI Skull Candy Headphones and Lady Gaga's Heartbeats (black crome).

Duke Nukem is 99cents in the app store ^_^

I think it's actually better on Wii. It is literally the best use of motion controls/pointing that I've ever played.
I forgot to do the connection tests they sent me like a month ago. I wonder if it's too late?
In the email they mentioned you need to do it within a week of receiving the email. But, it's worth a shot.
How far are you and what difficulty are you playing on?
I just beat vergil for the first time, and I'm playing on medium with the "gold" setting.

I'm ready for more Fallout, only played what was on the disc.

But honestly, I can't afford any new games right now. I'm so fucking broke I had to pawn my 'box again.

I don't think they will ever stop making Halo games. I'm waiting for the Halo RPG, the Halo MMO, the Halo action platformer, the Halo puzzle game, Halo portable, Halo Halo Halo Halo Halo Halo Halo...
