I'm not a computer expert, but aren't laptops generally bad for games? Ideally, wouldn't a PC be better?

Laptop's can be decent for gaming, just need a decent processor and a dedicated graphics card. You won't be playing Crysis at ultra high detail but you should be able to enjoy most modern games.
