I bought ID4 on blu ray a month ago at target and I finally got a chance to watch it and when I put it in my PS3, it doesn't recognize the disc at all. I looked on the bottom pf the disc and it says Memorex dvd+r 7.5gb. I think there was an error when they manufactured the disc. It's too late to return or exchange the blu ray. If anyone has this movie for a good price I would appreciate someone selling me a copy or letting me know were I can buy it cheap. I checked best buy and they still want 34.99 and I refuse to pay more then 15 or 20.

Might want to call Fox about that one.

I'm never buying another cd or blu ray from target again. If I would have bought it from best buy, not having a reciept wouldn't be an issue since they can look it up on there computers.

Just buy it again from Target, then take the one you have back with the new receipt and say it doesn't work and you want to return it. If they give you any problems, just play dumb and say you only own a DVD player and weren't aware it didn't work on those.

Problem solved.

because they'd refund an open item with a blatantly obvious blank DVD inside the case..

The OP didn't say it was a blank disc, they said the bottom said it was a dual layer Memorex. Now if there is no label and it's not a manufacturing error but theft, then my plan has some holes.
If you have a Hastings B&M store nearby, it's 21.99 new there. Check www.gohastings.com.
I'm getting $31.98 on their website and it was still $34.99 at B&M last time I checked (about two weeks ago). Of course they don't have the ad up on their site this week, so it could be a sale (or just a quick price drop).

Even better, just return the old copy of the BD (with the new receipt) and explain the problem. No need to make yourself sound technologically illiterate.

EDIT (to try and help out the problem):
I've had a Target rep pull up my receipt based on my card information, but that was close to a year ago. Might be an option. Alternatively, I've got a copy that I've watched once on my PS3 that I'd let go for $20 ($18 plus shipping). You can probably get it cheaper elsewhere during a sale, but you're call.

That's why I said B&M. It's a sale they're doing, it's on one of the endcaps near the Blu Ray section (or should be, anyway).. also noteworthy at $21.99, all the Die Hard Movies, I, Robot, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Yeah Target can look up your receipt if you have your credit card. I saw signs about that in the customer service area.

Sounds like a "swap n steal" like others have said. But Targets return policy is 90 Days so go in and ask if they can look up your reciept. They should be able to. Otherwise I would say liek other go in and buy a new copy and return the old one with it. This "swap n steal" is a huge problem right now for retailers so they probably have had it done before and should be aware of the issue.

I'm going to second or third or fourth if you can post up a pic of the disc, I'm curious to see what you are talking about and it will let us know if it was razored and stolen or manufacturing error.

on a side note one time I bought some crackers at target, got home and the bag was opened, not alot missing, but I took it back and they let me get a new one no problem (yeah, just crackers though....but thats the only similar experience I got).

LOL i havent heard anyone call it "ID4" since the massive marketing blitz that pushed that "film".... awful movie btw.

Sounds kinda weird.
Memorex doesn't make 7.5 GB + R discs (they do make 8.5GB +R DL discs).

Either way, a manufacturing error would not yield such a result, as there's no reason for a memorex disc to be in the manufacturing plant.
