Looking for original game pricing

ninju D

CAGiversary!
Does anyone know where I can find the original price that a game was priced at when brand new? Example: How much was Goldeneye 007 when it originally came out back in 1997? I am looking to get many examples of different games on various platforms from different gens. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm not 100% certain, but digital press - http://www.digitpress.com/ might have some of the information you're looking for, again not totally sure, but its a good place to start.

Also, if that doesn't pan out, I'd suggest looking to see what the general price of most games were for the systems, which I'm sure wikipedia or other fan specific sites would have readily available, good luck and post an update if you find a good resource.

Cheers. ;)

You got me curious and I found this which has some release pricing for back in the day.

I'm sure there is a fan database of prices, SNES games were all over the place price wise anywhere from $20 budget & player's choice to $30 new releases (Demon's Crest) to the dreaded $65-80 RPG's in the mid-90's. (I bought Chrono Trigger new for $65 at walmart, when other stores wanted upwards of $80, like Babbages for instance)

It's going to take some time and detective work, but I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for, good luck.
