All the SH games are good, but I still think the original is the best. SH1 certainly has the deepest story of any of the games. People have devoted entire FAQs to just the plot of SH1.

Dude, I was so crazy about finding Silent Hill 1 a month ago. I called up every store that could possibly have it. I found a $5 off coupon on the net for EBgames so I called them up once again in desperation and to my surprise they said they have it. I have no idea what happened. I must have called them up like 20 times before and they said they did not have it. Then one day I call them up once and they said they have it. I was pretty happy. Anyways, Ebgames might have it. I got the Greatest Hits version. I wasn't too happy about that. I always prefer the original copies. The bargain labels are so annoying and ugly. It was selling for $20, but I used the $5 off coupon so I got it for 15. Silent Hill is a pretty short game. I beat it in three days. I wouldn't go as far as saying it is the best Silent Hill in the series because I have only tried 1 and 2, but out of the 2, the first was definitely the scariest. I had a better time with Silent Hill 2 though. Mostly because of the story. Screw Resident Evil, Silent Hill blows it out of the water. The atmosphere and story just blew me away. It's not like a game like Halo or Metal Gear Solid, but after reading the plot analysis', I was just amazed. It definitely left me wanting more. Unlike Resident Evil, Silent Hill's music is actually good. Resident Evil's music sucks ass, when I tried Silent Hill, Resident Evil's music sucks major ass. Anyways, good luck finding Silent Hill.

When I finished Silent Hill 2, I didn't know what the shit just went down, but when a read an analysis on Gamfaqs, my mind was just blown wide open. I cannot believe anyone can make such a great plot. Kudos go to the makers of the Silent Hill franchise. I hope they keep on making more Silent Hills.
