Looking for Starfox merchandise~~

This may be out of your price range, and not specifically what you asked, but it's a nice thing to have anyway. Try finding a star fox competition cart for snes. I believe they go for around $3-500. I have the donkey kong country competition cart I bought for $20 from nintendo power years ago, and that goes for 300+ now, and it seems the star fox one is even rarer, though the few I've seen sold for about the same price as dkc. If you collect star fox, I'd guess that would easily be the holy grail of star fox collections. Hell, even if you don't collect star fox that could easily be the holy grail of your collection.

edit: and here it is link
The donkey kong one is also out there, buy it now is 400 and the bidding is 210 with 2 days left. The star fox one has 5 days left and is only at 30. I also noticed this pin too link. It's way too expensive in my mind since it's just a pin, but I don't know what kind of money you're working with.

Pretty rare, yeah. Just like you, alonzo, i ordered my competition cart from Nintendo Power years ago... it was during their 'power stamp' program.

Aside from prototypes, both DK: CC and SF: CC are among the rarest carts ever. Definitely the crown jewl of any collection.

i took a photo of my StarFox cart for another thread a while back:

Eclipse> Yet another great StarFox collectible: keep an eye out the SF competition flight jacket!! It's pretty awesome looking. Very few were made; they were only given to SF regional champions.... not sure how many are out there; maybe 500 (?)

Stupid insomnia :p :

'Weird thing is, i don't remember the jacket looking like this at all. Our SF state champion was a coworker at the time, and he'd parade around with his trophy jacket all the time. ;) Man, i swore his was better quality; not this satin-looking shiny stuff. It had leather sleeves and embroidered arwings on the back.

...i looked around on google, but couldn't find a pic. Oh well, if i find anyhting else, i'll post it. /:)

Sorry for jacking your thread, OP. What's the difference between the competition cart and a standard cart? Someone enlighten me please.

Competition cart allows the player to try to get the highest score in 5 minutes (?).

Yup, and that's all it does. You got 5 minutes to get the higher score, when your 5 minutes are up you can then try it again. That's the entire cart, not full game or anything.

I have the T-Shirt given out to local high scores. Never wore it because it was always too big. I'll take pictures and put them in my gallery at some point.

do you want cash-or games, Punqsux? +what size is that T?

I got a pack of 10 Starfox 64 promo cards still in a sealed pack that comes with a "Nintendo" card binder measuring 6 by 8 inches. I say "Nintendo" because it's just a binder with a Nintendo 64 sticker. Even worse, the sticker was partly torn when I got it so I had to put some clear tape. The sticker is also upside down, on the wrong side, and on the bottom. It's kind of hard to explain but if you're interested, I'll post some pix later and let me know what you'd offer for it.

I think my favorite piece of StarFox merchandise would have to be the big cardboard Arwing that Nintendo shipped to retailers to promote StarFox 64 back in the day. It's about 2 1/2' x 2 1/2', and all shiny. Looks great hanging from my ceiling light, too!

I have this bobblehead that Target had as a bonus when you pre-ordered Star Fox Adventures from them. This is the only picture I could find of it anywhere. My girlfriend took the digital camera back to school with her and she isn't coming home until February.

Well punq stole my thunder too! :p

Anyways, the picture of the shirt is exactly what I have. Plus I have the little buttons of the Starfox logo that came with them.

I recall now that they were given out to people who just beat the current high score of the day. I was 12 or 13 and went to every TRU that weekend to play. I wanted the jacket but alas I was not good enough. :/

PS. I have 3 of those shirts and they have definitely never been worn. No fading either.

if anyone has a second star fox bobblehead im also interested in getting one. first let eclipse get his of course but if anyone has any others please post it here.

I got one of these, unopened. Target exclusive!

WOW, those are AWESOME!!!!!!!! :D
Unfortunately, that isn't my photo. I just did a google search for a pic so you would know what I am talking about.

Sway: My friends already got an very similar binder...How much would you want for the cards? PM me.

Puzznic: Send me an offer over PM and ill consider..

Damn...I never got my shirt. The store I went played the competition cart at ran out, but was supposed to mail me one. Which of course they never did. I did have to good sense to buy one of the competition carts when Nintendo started selling them. :) And it's not even the "holy grail" of my collection.

On to the topic at hand, I've got a Fox McCloud and Krystal (both from SFA) temporary tattoos I'd be willing to trade. Let me know.

I have the jacket, a couple of shirts, pins, and the competition cart somewhere.

I do not think I can part with them though.

Pointless post? Yes.

I remember those competition carts in the Nintendo Power catalog . . . at the time I thought "who would want that" . . . "what a waste of money."

Shows what I know.
