I'm wondering the same thing as the OP. Can anyone recommend a reliable eBay seller that sells genuine 120 gb hard drives and not the home made ones.

I went into Gamestop and found a used 120 gig hard drive for $90-120ish (It's been a year so I don't remember the exact price I paid for it). You can go there. And you can buy a transfer cable on Ebay. Or you can wait because the internet is spreading rumors that there might be a 250 gig hard drive released soon.

I bought one a used one on ebay for $29 with free shipping. It shipped from Hong Kong and took a while, but it was a good deal.

It was a Microsoft hard drive, not a Mickey Mouse hard drive. Just search for "20gb xbox oem" on ebay.
