The official sony one, or something better, basically a controller thats good with wear on tear on the analog sticks.
 
Retrocon thats 5 bucks at best buy. IMO the analogs hold better than the original does. They feel very very solid. So yep, good analog, good design and most important, damn good price
 
Not official, but RadioShack has the Gamehawk, I think, for 9.99. You can get a 1 year guarantee for $3 more too to replace it no matter what.
 
I'd go with the Retrocon at the moment at BB. For $5 you can't go wrong on a controller. Plus they are very well designed and they feel like they hold up well.
 
I have two official Sony DualShock 2's if you want to name a price for one... (They are black, by the way.)

I didnt get my retrocon in the mail yet.
 
I got a retrocon this week. Although it really looks cool, it was giving me hell in terms of timing on Shadow Hearts Covenant. I haven't gotten used to it yet for some reason. However.. I do have the almighty controller converter, and will be testing it soon with Alien Hominid and Ikaruga on Gamecube. And who knows what a little bit of boredom may bring... maybe some Halo 2 with it on Xbox Live just for the hell of it.
 
Alright how many of you have had luck finding the madcatz retrocon controller for 5 bucks at BB b&m because I may drive over and get an extra one.
