What do you guys think is the best deal right now under a $100.  Never bought one before and wanted to give one to my parents.  We usually celebrate christmas after christmas so delivery time doesn't matter.  Looking at Amazon and not sure which one to get.

I've been doing some looking for my daughter one under 100, but I decided to go with a Galaxy Tab 4 since me and the wife both have Galaxy phones.

Some of the best ones, in my view, under 100 bucks include the Asus Memo 7 -

It's $79, and with the memory card slot for expanded storage and the 2 MP camera I believe is a nice deal.

Wal-Mart had a sale on a couple of Nextbook tablets. If you think they would be happier with an operating system similar to a PC, as opposed to say an Android or Apple device, this is the way to go -

It's a 8" Nextbook that is running Windows 8.1 as an operating system. It also comes with a free 16 gig memory card. It is usually 149 but is on sale for 99 right now.

Then there is this Nextbook 7" 16 gig Quad Core, that's good for the price. It's only $59. It runs using an Android OS -

You'd be very hard pressed to find an Apple iPad etc under 100, better yet impossible, even a used one. Some might say the ones I pointed you towards are garbage but when you're on a budget you get what you pay for. These from my findings are the best bang for your buck.

Good luck and happy holidays. Maybe another CAG can point some out that I overlooked. :)

Alot of it depends on what you want to do with it as well.  My family has many sizes and shapes, depending on user and uses.

If you're just experimenting and the recipient is connected to the Amazon ecosystem, the Fire tables are a good value.  The  $114 7" Fire HD is a great size and runs lots of games and does Skype and is a favorite for parents/grandparents.  The size is nice, not too big, the Mayday feature is nice if they need help.  Can't go wrong for new tablet users.  Of course, the higher priced Nexus Tab and iPads offer enhanced experiences with more memory and better processors but not all audiences need that.

FYI, they also have a new recent addition, a $99 6" tablet.  I'm not familiar with it but my household has had most of their other offerings, including hte original Fire 7" and they've all performed well and Amazon support is amazing when there's been a problem.

Best of luck!

3. a 8 GB is really a 4.5GB and once you get down to 1GB the system will lock and free so mostly its a 3GB system
