I remember wasting hours and hours of the day playing Roller Coaster and Zoo tycoon. I wanted to know if anything new came out in 2011 worth playing?

That will be a long time coming. Some ppl need stickers to tell them that a game is great.
 
Official would be nice, but fan-base is fan made? The newest one i saw was air tycoon 2 or something but it cost 30$. Ill give it a month to go down to 10$

My list has several Tycoon games under the Simulation - Management section. tycoon mania has died off after 2004.

2003 were the last one to be made by MicroProse.
