Looking for title of old snes 2d shooter game

The game was a 2d shooter similar to a game like raiden and all I can remember was it had borders on the sides and in 2 player mode you can attach the ships together. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for replying. Ya like raiden. I dont think its any of those games. I think I remember there being some kind of artwork or some graphic on the black borders.

Sounds like Firepower 2000 to me. Couldn't you could attach the jeep and helicopter together in 2 player or something.

Or maybe Strike Gunner (STG) - it was an overhead like raiden and had artwork down the sides of the screen.

It wasn't Firepower 2000, couldn't connect them together. Though the game was siiiiick. Still play it haha.
