CAGiversary!
I'm wanting to start doing the rent games by mail thing because my blockbuster has jacked their prices way up. Anyways, i'm just wanting to see what places have given you guys the best service, selection, availiblity, and price. Thanks for any help... and as always have a cheapa** day.

Does Trigger Fingers have free shipping too? Because it seems their rates are a bit cheaper and you get 3 games opposed to 2 from Gamefly. Could be interesting, I may have to switch it up.

Blockbuster Game Freedom Pass. $15 for the first month, $20 a month after that. You can have 1 game out at a time and return it whenever you want for another game. Online rental passes might give you 2 rentals for that price, but you have to wait for them to receive the game before they send you out another one, so you end up waiting a week just to play a different game. I have the Freedom Pass and I love it. I rent tons of games with it. You'll enjoy it.

The game Freedom Pass worked for me until I moved to Bloomington, there are about 3 Blockbusters all of which only get about 40-50% of the new releases that actually come out. They still don't have many good games.

In short, the selection of games at the local BB is quite awful, but if you have a good BB, then I agree, the Game Freedom pass is a very decent way to go.

OK, if i subscribed to a service and rented a game, then returned it the next day, rented another, returned the next day, etc.... Which services would allow me to have played the most games per month???

it depends where you live, west coast based is the majority of services, there is also a more indepth thread on this to answer these questions

I think this would be the best deal IF, the BB near you had any games. I have been going to the same BB on the UWS of Manhattan since 2001 and have NEVER found a single game (until this past weekend) worth renting, because they are always all rented!

Finally this week I saw MVP Baseball 2004 and I rented it out of sheer amazment there was something available for me to rent.

All you have to do to avoid that is call them up on either Thursday or Friday (whenever the store gets new games) and ask them to hold whichever game you want until you get there. Thats what I do.

I signed up for Gamefly a few months back and I love it, and I saw what you said about only having 2 games out...well after 2 months you can up it to three. Gamefly is very reliable, and buying games from them pre-owned is great. I rented Fight Night 2004 as soon as it came out, and I could actually buy my copy that I rented that was brand new for 39.99 ALREADY! Gamefly is well worth the money.

Intothegame.com is a good choice also , they arent as big as Gamefly or the others so you seem to get what you want with out having to fight other customers over it. I have had super fast delivery times on all my games so far.
