Actually not true I work in the television business and plasmas if you've noticed are getting phased out because of the fact that they have a horrible life span as well as they get darker and darker. LED for great color depth and LCD if its going in a bright or lit room. 120hz is the most you'll need especially for video games. Now brands nothing beats a Samsung or a Sony.

Wrong. Look at the best TV on the market......The Plasma Panasonic 3D HDTV.......I personally have a Samsung 3D 51' and it blows my Sony LED out of the water.
