Loose charger plug/port on new 3DS XL

Just opened my Mario/Luigi XL bundle and after I plugged in the charger, noticed that the plug wiggles slightly inside the charger port of the 3DS XL. It seems to plug in fine (with a little resistance), but when I try unplugging it, I probably use 1/2 of the same force and it easily detaches itself. 

Is this normal? Kinda worrisome.

My Zelda XL has a slight forceful clacking sound when going in, but not when coming out.  I think you're OK.

There is definitely some wiggle room when it's plugged in.  Important thing is solid connection and it doesn't fall out on its own.

I'd chalk it up to being a new/different type of USB connector.
