Lord of The Rings Online Shadows of Angmar $23 Shipped after GCO

I don't suppose you get a preorder code with that...?
Comes to $26.24 after tax and shipping, $36.24 if you've already done GCO.

Very nice, but I may hold out for a deal on the collector's edition. I'm a sucker for an included soundtrack.

Good deal on a great game. I played a 3-day stress test a couple weekends ago and I was very impressed to say the least. Even still a month or more away from release the game is very stable and is well polished. A much better experience than the complete disaster that Vanguard turned out to be, and even better in some ways I think than my beloved EQ2 (which I am cancelling my sub finally after 1.5 years of playing.)

I'm not sure if you'll get your LOTRO key instantly from MTV, but here's what I did..

1- Pre-order from Amazon.com ($48.99) and you'll get your pre-order open beta (3/30) key instantly. You'll have to sign in to Amazon's Your Media Library site to get the key.
2- Download the LOTRO game software from Gamespot (3.9GB).
3- Activate the key (from Amazon) at https://myaccount.turbine.com/ before 3/30. On your Turbine MyAccount page, it should show Game Version: Shadows of Angmar™ Pre-order, Recurring Subscription Plan: Free of Charge Expiration Date: April 24, 2007
4- Cancel your LOTRO pre-order at Amazon. You should not get billed as long as you cancel your LOTRO pre-order before Amazon ships it.
5- Order LOTRO at MTV for $26. Once received, register the key that's on the box.

Should work...
