Keep in mind that this is just the original release of the game without Mines of Moria or Siege of Mirkwood and there are HUGE updates to download after installing this before you can even play it. I bought it cheap at Big Lots and ended up stopping it and downloading it from Turbine - the updates were going to take 10+ hours with 3 Mbps DSL. This was last summer when they had the game and MoM expansion download for $10.
If you just plan on playing the original game and never wanting to get the expansions, then buy it. If you think you might ever want to get the expansions, just buy the download. I'd recommend against buying the disc, it was a wasted $10 for me.
