Lost Planet Colonies: Is anyone still online?

I used to play this frequently when it was first released. However, I got rid of my copy a couple of years ago. I'm considering buying it back, mainly for online play.

So, does anyone still play online at all? If so, approximately how many players can I expect online at a time?

I'm aware LP2 is out and most people have moved on, but it would be nice to play Colonies occasionally as well.

i would love to play this as well. Was one of my favorite games for mp at the time, and put a ton of hours into it. Never really like LP2 as much

Same with me. One of my favorite games to casually play online. It was always a pleasant experience. I liked LP1 campaign much better than 2.
There wasn't even people playing this when I played it around the time I got my Xbox 3 or 4 years ago...
Well, when did you get your 360? This game came out in May 2008. There were plenty of people online at the time and it stayed active for a decent amount of time afterwards, as far as I know.

I used to go on at all times of the day and I would always get full sessions, no problem. During the nighttime hours, I would frequently encounter a lot of Japanese players as well. The game sold really well in the US and Japan.
i tried to play it online. kept getting knocked down by grenades and rockets. S*** never ended
Recently?

I just want to know if people still come online...
Isn't Lost Planet 2 cheap enough? Whats the advantage of playing the first over the second?
I own Lost Planet 2. Money isn't the issue at all.

I prefer Lost Planet 1/Colonies over 2.

Whether people come online or not, I've decided I'm just going to buy the next copy of Colonies that I find. I was trying to get a discussion going about the series, but it looks like nobody is interested at all, haha.

I just started LP2 with a buddy and so far I've been having a good time. The menu system is complete garbage though, I had to Google a few menu options just to figure out what the hell they were for. If anyone feels like playing this lemme know, I would love to play seriously with a few people.
