Update 10/2:

The Lost Planet trailer that got released on the Marketplace during the Bringing It Home campaign has now been extended with added clips of the single and multiplayer side of things. There is also now a message right at the end for all those that bothered to view it right through (and come on, why wouldn’t you?). It seems a multiplayer demo is on the way!
The video is worth anyones time. It isn’t very long, and right at the end of the video it displays a coded message. After deciphering it, it reads “Multiplayer demo coming Winter 2006″ (the code is actually words in French).

Microsoft and Capcom have just released a new trailer of Lost Planet on Xbox Live Marketplace. Titled Pre-E3 '06 Trailer, the new movie is available in both 720p (58.34 MB) and standard-definition (10.98 MB). The trailer also reveals Capcom's plans to release a Lost Planet wallpaper on May 2 and a playable demo on May 9.

E3 week should be lots of fun. Hopefully lots more downloads :bouncy:
 
Yeah this game looks nice, just played the demo a bit ago. If the story and length are decent could really see this being one of my favorite games on the 360. Felt a little like the action of Resident Evil 4 put into a more scifi setting.
 
After playing the demo, i'm going to buy the game right when it comes out! Let alone the full version is going to have online gameplay it seems! (At the end of the new trailer, it looks like it's going to be online)
 
indeed, the demo was more impressive than the initial trailers made it seem. The controls are pretty solid and it ran at a decent framerate.
 
heh I wouldn't say it came out of nowhere, this is the 3rd trailer they've put on live. one way back, one in pre-e3 and this e3 one.
 
I was really excited about this game when I first learned of it a while ago, but this demo...I don't know, it's too slow and clunky for my tastes. What I really want is Chromehounds.

Just finished playing the demo. WOW, after seeing the first trailer, I pretty much was going to pass up on this one but after playing the demo, im sold...The gameplay is really easy to pick up and play and the weapons and mech's are so awesome to use to kill the bugs. I loved how you can pick up mech weapons and walk them over to the mech and install them. I know you can do this while on the mech as well, but this was cool surprise for me.

Rebooted. AWESOME demo. I can't figure out what the countdown thing in the top lefthand corner is for, and I just randomly died while walking along.. but AWESOME demo!!
 
I didnt get the countdown thing either but when you hit 0 you will die. After you kill bugs or whatever you just grab the orange glow that pops out of them and it replenishes some of the countdown..

I love the demo, I just wish there was a map on where Im suppose to go because I constantly get lost but Im still loving it. Great graphics, fun gameplay and the AI is a nice surprise
 
I thought the game was ok.....I migth pick it up. If it has multiplayer, then sure....seemed to control well. I wanted to zoom in with my rifle...oh well.
 
Game had a real arcade feel. I thought the graphics were sucky and the AI was trash. But I still liked the game and will play it some more. I like the idea of us getting a demo of a game thats still far off and they can work on all its problems before its launched. As is though I wouldnt buy it.
 
Yea, this game was as sweet as I'd hoped.

The AI of the smaller bugs did suck, but the giant monsters were awesome and seemed truly pissed and out for blood.

I can't wait for this game to come out, but I REALLY WANT a demo of Dead Rising, why haven't we gotten this? It's supposed to be out in August, and I think Lost Planet is more like November or maybe next year, correct me if i'm wrong.

If you push up on the d-pad you can zoom in. With the Sniper Rifle you can double zoom. If you are crouching (hold down left stick) and you press jump you'll do a roll move. I thought some people might have missed this because I figured the roll move out by accident.

I thought the demo was fantastic another great game from capcom and original IP for Xbox 360.

The explosions from the canisters were great. The meter at the top is your health, you are in a temperature of -30º and your health will always slowly deplete. When you kill the enemies they seem to leave some kind of heat energy source that keeps you stable in the weather conditions.

The Mechs are great. I love the interchangeable weapons. Also the some of the minor environment pieces are destructible and I loved the hook shot grip.

The graphics were great and the snow effects are really nice. The game moves at a slow place because you are in a snowy terrain. The only problem was on the second level the AI did seem a little stupid at times but at other times they were very intelligent. I sure this will be fixed up in the final version.

I am very excited about the game and can not wait to pick it up when it is released. I played this demo for about two hours yesterday and loved it. I beat it multiple times. The marketplace is really looking great during E3.
 
I was very surprised by this demo. The explosions and chaos are great. Weapons feel very very powerful. And I like the grappling hook thing.. gives you a lot of freedom of movement onto rooftops and stuff. I'll be checking this out when it comes out.
 
The explosions are fantastic.. when I threw a grenade, I expected it to just blow up and kill the dude.. but it blew up a small structure nearby.. and the huge wall of flames was amazing.

I also liked how the mech can destroy the cars by jumping on them. And I had a "yyyyyeeeeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" moment when I realized that not only can you take the gun off the mech.. but you can put it back on it when you're done with it.

I was the same way in the Arachnid level, when I get into the massive hive, I realize I could have brought the mech into the structure, but I did see the Gatling Gun, figured it'd be impossible for my little man to hoist it up.

Not the case, haha I had a gun the size of my body.
 
Yeah, I'm definately Day 1'ing this game. I can't stop playing this.

During the bottom mission (Of the two choices), I finally got up to the roof of some house.. didn't see anyone around, so I stood up, walked for a bit and reloaded.. about that time, this rocket goes WOOSH past me, leaving a smoke trail.. I yell out "HOLY SHIT!", start blindly firing, then fly off the roof courtesy of a rocket to the breadbasket (Translation: nailed me in the stomach). I landed head first in the snow below. Hell. Yeah.
 
This game is the shit. I wasn't expecting much, but it's terrific.
 
I have really enjoyed the demo so far, I was looking forward to this when I seen the first trailer on LIVE a while back. It is now on my must buy list. Out of the 2 missions I prefer the Pirate level (bottom), although I've played the top one more because of the mech unit.
 
I have been trying to download this demo all day. I had a partial download and then it disconnected. Now when I try to start it back up, it either starts at 6% or 53% and goes about an extra 1% and then disconnects again. I have tried deleting it from my hardrive and starting the download again, but I keep having the same results. I haven't had problems downloading anything else today from the marketplace. Anyone have any ideas?
 
I think i've played those two missions at least 20 times each...I can't believe how slick this game runs/ feels and its still a HELL of along ways away until completion.

This gem came out of nowhere for me and now it is on my most wanted list. Alot of elements feel next gen and it can only get better.

DL this now if you havent already!
