Amazon has these for preorder for about $50 each.

I'm a huge Lost fan but doubt I'll bite on this, I've seen most season 1 and 2 eps about 4 times each now. Nice to see them coming out though.

Excellent. I'm wondering if it might be wise to hold off though. There's bound to be a series set for this, with matching cases. All of them potentially having a slipcase except season 3 would suck. Normally, I'm not that anal but the DVD sets have a nice consistent look on all the slipcases so it looks like book spines almost.

I feel the same way, but I already have 3 and 4 so I might as well grab these.

If a set does come out, I'm sure I can sell these for a decent price.

Do you think they're going to release a complete series Blu-ray set? If so, I'm waiting for that. There'd probably be a dickload of extra features not on these.

I think they announced that before they announced S1+2.

They went all out for Alias. And this show is widely more appreciated than Alias. A set is probably 99% certain. If it doesn't come out, it would only be because the disgusting price structure for Blu-Rays would make the set sport something like a $250-300 MSRP. Even so I would think they'd release it anyway because the fanbase is so rabid.
Thanks for the notice

Lost Season 1 > Lost Seasons 2-5
I kind of think season 4/5>1/3>2, but the whole show is great.

I can't wait to see Hurley in HD!

Kidding aside, this is a good show that would benefit from a home theater setup.

See, the first season for me was the best only because it was centralized. Everything was with the same people on the same beach. Not half the crew at the beach wondering where the other crew is while the other crew is captive somewhere, and now we've got a chunk of the crew back home, some in the future, some in the past, and it just gets too "broad" to have that magical feeling the first season had when the mysteries were minimal and it was like a true "stuck on a deserted island" feel that made the first season so powerful you'd spend like 8 hours a day burning through the box set.

Well said, that is exactly how I feel; there was a certain magic to the first season with everyone together and the island so new and mysterious...
