I wonder when they plan on releasing Seasons 1 and 2 on bluray. I wouldn't mind having a hi-def Lost marathon before this season came out. d:
 
That seems pretty expensive for a shortened season doesn't it? I was hoping it would be a lot cheaper. Oh well, it's become the yearly thing for this to be my Christmas present from someone.

It's only $25 more for the Blu-Ray version (at this moment), which isn't bad at all.

No. The limited number of presses are so filled to the brim with new releases, that Disney said not expect S1 and S2 until '09.

Wasn't S3 available for close to $38 @ one time? I'll just wait until S4 is available at that price.

It was as an Amazon DotD for that price at one point. Hopefully they do another one sometime in the future for around that price, I missed the first time. xD

Kind of funny that they're charging canada $13 more when with their dollar it would only cost an $98.90 to buy the US version.

13 episodes. Episode 13 miiiiiiiiiiight be three hours though if rumours are to be believed.

No joke. $67 for 13 episodes? No way am I paying HBO prices for this crap.

I got S3 for $34.99 from BB, and a $10 coupon for them cancelling my order.

We got a short season (Only 13-14) and it should be just $40-$45!!!

There was not fluff at all. Both season 2 and 3 had way too much filler.
If fewer episodes means better episodes then stop bitching.

Can you honestly say that season 4 had one singe episode that wasn't awesome?
Plus the BD says it's an 'Extended Version'.

so judging by that box art...15 episodes (since I think they considered the 13th episode/finale to be the last 3 hours) is spread over 5 Blu-Ray discs?

i thought blu-ray discs could hold a lot more than 3 episodes...

It can but they wouldn't look or sound as good. The more space the video and audio get the better the quality. And lost S3 looks and sounds better than most hollywood films on BD.

Just checked the page and they've lowered the price to $52.95. Still not a good deal, but better. Maybe it'll go even lower by December? Costco is still listing it at $66.89.

53 bucks is at least REMOTELY viable, I'll definitely wait til release month though.
 
$40 bucks is reasonable... nah, the series kinda spun out of control and with the characters getting more famous, i wonder what will happen to the show.
 
I waited until amazon marketplace had season 3 for under 40 bucks... I will do the same with this and most other tv sets on BR I want to get... just picked up heroes for under 35 new and shipped
 
I jumped on the DotD for Season 3, and it looks like I'll have to do the same for Season 4.

$53 is better, but not quite where it needs to be.

Yeah, especially for a shortened season-- I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this to do the one day sale like Season 3. I'm sure they sold enough to do it again... now to keep my fingers crossed to actually get in on it! :) (IIRC that sold out VERY fast)

Still too much for only 13 episodes. Chuck on BR is $35 and that still seems high. The MSRP on Lost 4 is WAY overpriced.
 
I fucking hate Blu-Ray. None of the shit I want is out. They're only getting Dexter season 1 so far, no Tudors in America, Sopranos is 5 seasons behind with the 1st delayed, The Wire wasn't even filmed in a way that would allow for a Blu-Ray transfer, 2 Lost seasons behind.

I wish they'd get the lead out and put stuff on the market instead of just penciling it in so they can manipulate financial quarter profits. I loved that Heroes went ahead and just put out both sets on the same day instead of putting out 1 and making everybody wait a year or more for 2.
 
Price adjusted... this is much better than 66 or whatever it was before.

50 dollars for Lost on BD for this season isn't as bad as it could be. The show is marked to high value because it'll sell extremely well at this price, unlike other shows that aren't as popular among likely BD buyers.

You make is sound like Blu-ray is overpriced. Disney lowered the MSRP on Lost to be the same as the DVD set.
 
Ill still wait for an amazon deal of the day on it, or a marketplace merchant selling it for much less... I dont have to have it the day of release... Ive become more patient, and it saves me alot of money in the long run

Zuh? Amazon lists MSRP for one at $97, and the other at $60.
 
My post was totally wrong sorry, during SP I can't concentrate for anything. I meant that they kept it in line with the DVD pricing.

Buena Vista has just lowered the price of Lost: The Complete Fourth Season on Blu-ray Disc from $99.99 to $69.99 (the DVD SRP is expected to be lowered as well). The title streets on 12/9. Amazon already has the Blu-ray version discounted down to $49.95

So I think this was can be had for around the mid $30s before the end of the year. I'm waiting for that price since I got the Season 3 box for $34 a while back.
