Lost your job, Dont worry lets all go play on obama new $7,000 swingset

At least he's earning it. Tired of hearing this bullshit "is he doing to much".. Isn't that what a president is suppose to do?

ONe time i want to see a president on the final day of his job come on and do a speech and tell the nation

You can all kiss my big fat ass and moon the entire nation ... That would be so funny

Who cares?????
If it's $7,000 in taxpayer money then that's an issue.
If it's $7,000 of his money.. so what? Sure people are losing their jobs, but there are people who ARE doing well too. So...what..people with a stable job aren't allowed to be happy? Aren't allowed to shop for nice things?
C'mon now.

point is it is our money ... we pay his wages

yes people who have money have the right to buy nice things BUT 7,000 bucks on a #$#$#$#$ swingset is an outrage

I hope you start a thread like this for every CEO in America right now. Anyone who flies on a private jet you should be bitching about right now.

Hell, how about normal people who buy expensive things? Why aren't you bitching about them not giving back? Honestly, getting elected president isn't about being normal, or a person, it is about money. You should know this. You need money to campaign, to get votes, to win. If you have enough money you can afford to run for president, you are not a normal person. Less QQ more PewPew.

It's his money, who cares. He's not a normal joe monetarily. He has a law degree from Harvard, his wife has a law degree, he has multi-million selling books etc.

Doesn't mean he can't relate to the normal joe or have them in mind with his policy decisions.

And like lilboo said, it's not like people with money and stable jobs should stop buying stuff because others are hurting. That's part of the problem with the economy! Consumers aren't spending enough!

They were wealthy before this job. And despite that it doesn't matter that it's tax payer money. People can buy whatever they want with the money they earn for their work, regardless of whether they work in government or in the private sector. They earned it and can do as they please and you're a prick to judge people on how they spend their earnigs.

Lets start a thread.." Wolve bought ......." and bitch about it. He his a government employee, so his money really isn't his. Its ours!

Obviously you haven't been paying attention to the media. They are crying about bonus's that CEOs and Wall Street "players" get. The media cried about how one CEO whose company used money to redecorate his office A YEAR BEFORE THEY GOT ANY STIMULUS MONEY. Rich people are now bad guys. Well, I have a better way to put it. Rich people are to America as Jews were to Germany.

So wait, he can't spend his money on what he wants because he has a government job and the money comes from the American people? I guess my mom who works at the Mass. Dept. of Revenue better not buy that nice car she's been saving for because other people are losing their jobs, I wouldn't want you to get upset.

Yes, defend the guy who spent millions redecorating his office, even though his company was in ruins. I'm assuming you are referring to John Thain's who has recently promised to pay the 1.7 million back.

Well, there was the taxpayer money spent cradling the inaugural balls, apart from the corporate, financial industry, and hollywood sponsorships that are much more significant than a $7k swingset. I just hope the swingset was American made.

I think I saw that model at Costco for under $3k, so I think he may have gotten ripped off, or at least, shouldn't claim frugality as a skill.

Yeah, and I've been paid 100% from federal grant funds the past couple years....so thanks for the HDTV, Xbox 360, Amazon Kindle and all the other nice stuff I've bought the past 2 years taxpayers!

Give me a break. Money earned, is money earned and people can spend it on whatever they like.

It's not like a CEO charging his company to renovate his office, or a congressman charging personal trips to their office account etc.

Your wages are yours to spend however you like.
Well, I have a better way to put it. Rich people are to America as Jews were to Germany.
Really? Exploiting the working-class to further your own pocket, and to completely disregard the people who got you, and us not approving of it, makes them comparable to how the Nazis dealt with the Jewish population of Germany in the time before and surrounding World War II? Really?

This thread is total CAG comedy.

You have people taking a slidecage vs forum thread seriously, the obligatory Nazi accusation, BMuls making a rare appearance to snipe at low-hanging fruit, and 'Less QQ more PewPew'

hey now. i only care when its taxpayers money. i dont care if obama spends his own money on over the top swingsets. his last book earned him over 4 million dollars. if i had 4 million dollars id buy a kick ass swing set for my kids too. plus i would have had the courtesy to post a link. ;)
Talk about total BS... People dont have jobs yet they can run out and spend 7k on a #$#$## swingset..

yea hes a normal joe
I love that your custom title is "Nothing to Say".

You always have "Nothing to Say", but what really impresses me is how you express that nothing so very eloquently.

meh. in the face of bigger issues, like how numerous politicians fail to correctly file their taxes and end up owing thousands of dollars, this is pretty small in comparison. However, a real strike at Obama and his character could be made from his trip to the wizards/bulls bball game last month which was really unnecessary - caused massive traffic and security changes and game delays just so he could look cool when he could have watched the game comfortably in HD from the white house. This little stuff adds up though.

point is everyone is in LOVE with him and think he can never do anything wrong

If John won people would be #$#$#$#$## and it would be funny to see a 70+ year old playing on a swingset

point is people think obama is going to save us all...

At least standing in line for 4 hours last fall to vote got us all ready for our new job..

standing in line for 5 days waiting for bread after he gets done #$#$#$# everyone over

every since he won hes has done nothing but double talk

no more pork in the bills but then signs that BILL today and goes

Ummmm next time we will take care for it... yea good job

Yea, he expresses nothing at all in a LOT of words, it is truly amazing. I should get him to write essays for me.

I

Think I should

Start answering everything like

This now. It is very

Fun to do. It drags things

On a whole lot and takes up a lot of space.

Honestly, I have NO IDEA WHAT YOU JUST SAID.

That $7000 went directly from money he and his wife earned from doing their jobs right into the pockets of an American producer.

Please explain at what point in that sentence that an issue arose.

~HotShotX

So he bought a swingset for the kids. Whoop-de-damn-do. What's the big deal? If you want to criticize Obama, there are plenty of better things to be outraged about. Even in his personal finances there are plenty of better things to be outraged about, such as how little he has given to charity over the years. But as someone said, if I made $4 million in a year, you're damn right I'd buy an awesome swingset for my kids too.

That doesn't say "into the pockets of Geo, because he likes money. Give him money. Now. Seriously."

people say Rich people have the right to spend their money any way they want right?

Yea Obama goes and and says JOHN has 6 houses.. How many houses do you own. And people #$#$#$# about how many houses john has and said he is out of touch.

Hey Obama You have a 7,000 buck swingset how many does the Avg american have.. Can you say 0

then again everyone is so in Love with Obama they will never see anything that he ever does is wrong.

To me, the most shocking thing I learned in this thread is that the price of a swingset is $7,000. I had no idea it was so expensive.

okay, this proves it, this is officially a joke thread. thank god.

#1 What a crappy guy to spend money on his children. Considering all the ways his job complicates their life I think they deserve some fun. Not like they can hit a normal playground unsupervised like normal children.
#2 Spending money is good for the economy. If no one spends money and just saves like the Armageddon is upon us our economy will get worse.

I can't be surprised though since the OP gets pwned by common sense on a daily basis.
okay, this proves it, this is officially a joke thread. thank god.
I'm gonna guess it is. I just realized the hypocrisy of the OP telling Obama how to "spread his own wealth".

I think the bigger question here is where are they going to put that swingset? I don't think the Rose Garden is the right place for it. Come on, guys. We need to help the President decide where this swingset should go!

The point was he couldn't even remember how many houses he has.

And have you ever looked at how much swing sets cost? Even the most basic ones are 1,000-2,000 bucks.

Meh. I'm much more pissed at those AIG executives getting paid $165 million in bonuses when they lost $61 billion dollars 4th quarter of last year and are still living off $170 billion of taxpayer bailout money. Seriously, what. the. fuck? I'm hearing a lot of it is "retention" pay negotiated in mid 2008, but goddamn, what kind of PCP do you have to be on to provide retention pay to keep a-holes who lose money?

Put it on the roof, of course. Get a good swing goin' an' then jump off when it's at its apex, land on a strategically place trampoline, an' you'll get an epic fucking bounce, man.
Who actually reads that? He'd have to pay me to read his books...
We call that the ''Mission Earth Strategy''.
Who actually reads that? He'd have to pay me to read his books...
I read Audacity of Hope when trying to decide between him and Hillary. It was a pretty good read, he writes very well and has very interesting and well thought ideals IMO. I plan to read his first book at some point.

But I also read biographies of past presidents, so I'm just interested in that kind of stuff.
