Wait for the extended editions coming out in June kids. Hopefully Warner didn't DNR rape the transfers on LOTR this time around.
 
I think the individual Bluray discs were selling for $7.99 at various points, might be worth holding out. I'm one of those who likes the theatrical cuts (hey, longer isn't always better!) but you do have to hope they'll do a bit more justice with the transfer this time around. I won't repurchase, though, til they've got an all-in-one set with optimal transfers.
