Lots of <$5 games at EB

I've been hitting a lot of EBs lately, and I've noticed that there's a ton of XBox and PS2 games on for ultra cheap, such as:

Brute Force $0.99
Alter Echo - $0.49
Project Gotham Racing 2 - $3.99
Silent Hill 4 PS2 - $1.99
Cold Fear Xbox - $0.99
Super Monkey Ball Adventures PS2 - $4.99

Chances are if there's an older game that you wanted to play, but never quite got around to it-- and it does not have the words "Mario", "Fantasy", or "Halo" in it, you can get it for a stupid price.

Though they seem to be sold out of the $9.99 PS2 Rock Bands =)

YMMV as always.

Nothing says awesome like getting a $0.05 edge discount on a game. =)

I think I saw Mega Man Anniversary Collection for $4.99 (Xbox version, new) a long time ago at EB Games. I already had it on PS2, but I thought that was an amazing price....

PS2 Sega Genesis collection is $4.99 used
Jam Sessions DS used $4.99
Months ago I picked up Puzzle Quest for $4.99 or $2.99 I haven't seen any stock since and don't know if that's still the price.
Wario Ware:Touched DS used to $14.99
Resident Evil 0 GC used $9.99

I was in the store talking the manager of one EB and he said they just had too many PS2 games and he expected them to clear a lot of them out for cheap soon.

Any gamer worth a damn owes it to themselves to pick up this game. I paid full price for mine and it was worth every penny; at that price, that's a steal (pending disc quality of course).

EB's supply of DS Puzzle Quest is now completely dependent on people trading it in for a grand total of ~0.01$ tiv, so if that was to happen, the game will cost you 0.99$ (which was what I paid for mine. :p).

Edit: Now that I mention it, that is probably EBgame's greatest profit margin ratio ever! :p

There is a new collection coming out called SONIC’S ULTIMATE GENESIS COLLECTION for the 360/PS3 even more games for $29.99 in 2009. But for $5 and the system is already hooked up to the old Tube TV I'm pretty happy.

I found Sonic Adventure Director's cut for GC, 4.99 used. BUT, the employee said they were "out." I was like, WTF?!? and then bought Sam and Max: Season 1 for 19.99.
 
I found a copy of Street Fighter Collector's Edition for Xbox for $1.99. Actually, I found the case. The employee couldn't find the game. How the heck do you misplace the game?

Unless you "misplace" the game while "searching" for it, wait for the customer to leave the store, then buy the game yourself. [Cynic mode: off]

Sam and Max is also another game worth its weight in oversized bullets, ancient weenies and rabbit fur; more people need to buy this, if they haven't already bought it for PC some other way.
 
Beowulf is 5 dollars used, ughh. I saw ten copies for the PS3, but I guess it's the same for 360. Also, i was dissapointed in Super Monkey Ball Adventure, it was too wonky for me.
 
Pretty weak selection on my EB store. Anyway, if anyone didn't realize, there's $5 off $24.99+ on used game coupon in the flyer. Very YMMV to use with Edge Card discount but it won't hurt to give it a try.
 
$5 off a $24.99 game = ARRRRG! There's a game I've been hmming and hawing over, but it's $23.99. {shakes fist at that one loonie}

I'd gladly pay $1 more to save $5.
 
TMNT 360-$2.99 (I think I got the last one in Kanata)
Beyond Good and Evil Xbox 99¢ (Kanata had a copy sitting in the big bin of Xbox games at the front of the store. It's not BC with the 360.
The Kanata store also had a copy of the aforementioned PS2 Genesis collection $4.99. Top shelf on the wall.
 
Went to my local EB and asked about Korg DS again...worker said it has arrived but couldn't find it!
My visit wasn't a total waste though, as I found a copy of Contra: Shattered Soldier PS2 for $5.

About time they got down at those prices. it ridiculous to find some of those game at 35 bucks still. a fast quarter is better than a slow dime, ebgame.

lol my bad, it was in the 9.99 or less bin with a bunch of crap. at least it saved my visit from being a complete waste.

Looks like it won't matter. Found the receipt and it was dated Dec 2. 3 weeks is stretching it a bit in terms of getting EB to price-match themselves.

I know Roger's should have it in their 2/$30 new games bin... so you can get it for $15. Probably not as cheap as expected, but it's probably the best price I've seen for it.
 
I saw Monster Rancher 3 (PS2) for $4.99. I already have it, but I love the game and thought I would pass this along. :p

Oh, and does anyone know how much Xenosaga (PS2) is going for? Last time I saw it, I think it was $9.99, but I'm not sure.

Tekken 3 for ps1 was 6. 99 :)

I got halo 2 today at staples. It was on the rack wit the crap games 19.99 for $10, only orig xbox game there. It scanned at 16.99, but the gave it it to me 50% off that. Nothing else of particular note there, stuff that has been cheap elsewhere, eg Nights, blazing angel, splinter cell, tony hak
 
EB has used copies of The Mummy: Curse of the Dragon Emperor for the PS2 for $2.99 used, pretty good deal, and if you don't like it too much, it's TIV at BBV is $12, lol
 
Hmm, I was wondering if I should check BBV trade in value for old ps2 games after I saw they put powerdrome slale price up to an astonishing 19.99.
