Lots of free stuff from Blockbusters that are closing YMMV.

CAGiversary!
I went into a Blockbuster in Columbus that was shutting down, and just for coming in I got:

-1 free month of Blockbuster movies/games by mail (any plan) ($20 value)
-1 free kiosk rental ($1 value)
-1-free movie to own ($10 value)
-$5 in video-on demand credit
-30 days of free rentals from non-closing Blockbuster stores

So just that's $36+ in free stuff just for stepping foot into the store. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

Oh wow, im actually going to a closing BBV today, we'll see how it goes. I know a lot of them give those free months of BBV online but I haven't heard of someone getting all of that just by stopping by.

The BBVs closing by me are offering 2 free previously viewed movies for signing up for month trial of their online rentals (up to $16.99 price each Blu-ray or DVD).

A BBV near Bothell, WA has this deal as well. I picked up The Town for free and got my free month of BBV online. The rest of the stuff didn't interest me, but I got that too.

The one closing by my house had huge going out of business sale signs.

Except everything was only marked off by 5 or 10 percent full price. Including used games.

It was pretty crazy, what was crazier was that people were snapping the stuff up. A rental version of Dead Space 2 for 50 bucks? AWESOME DEAL!

Ours had games at 19.99, but they were 2 and 3 years old, nothing new. The movies on the other hand, minus the new releases were 73% off so I picked up a couple.

Oh and they didn't offer me anything free, hell, they wouldn't even mail back my discs from my previous rentals online.

I went to one last week and they didn't have any great deals (just $10 blus for me), all dvds were $8.99 and all games were around 2 years old but cost $29.99 apiece.

Skipped out on everything except the $10 blus, grabbed myself Grindhouse and Nightmare Before Christmas.

When is this location closing? I was there the other day and couldn't decide how to spend my $20 giftcard. The one next to Rally's, right?

I got lucky and got Dead Space 2 CE for $30 shipped from ea friday. I will have to see if any BB near me are closing. The free snail mail renting is not for me or local renting. I am netflix spoiled i love streaming. The free movie is nice and will have to stop in. TY OP

Heads up - You can get "1 free month of Blockbuster movies/games by mail (any plan) ($20 value)" wherever you live.

Enter erewards1mspecial at checkout.

I noticed that they don't send out games for a few months after release, so probably won't sign up.
