Lots of PSP price drops at Fry's (imports)

dunno if they're blowing out their import section, but most of the games that were previously $49.99 are now $19.99. also noticed that popolocrois is down to $19.99.

just checked outpost.com there online store it just seems to be the games they cant move, like japanese me and my katamari, dynasty warriors 2 jap, mahjong and other games. all the good stuff still goes to about 50 the only noticable drops are ultamite muscle for 50 to 30 and bleach 1 psp 30 to 50

Which Fry's and which games? The Orange County Fry's carries _a_lot_ of import PSP games.

Thanks, I'm really only interested in Tales, if that isn't included no sense in me wasting the gas and time to head out there.
 
sorry, it's definitely not Tales (or the other euro import they normally carry... can't recall) but i'd say at least 90% of the japanese imports were 19.99. this was at fry's in san diego.
 
The DS section here of the Narutos/Jump Superstars/ Bleach DS continually sell out, so perhaps this is just part of the slow demise of the PSP?

Bomberman for PSP is quite good - though only 4 player, but how many PSP owners do you really know?

It's coming to the US, but $20 is a fine price for the import.
 
its only for PSP, i guess. coz the Naruto and Bleach for the DS still tag at original. so no change for DS imports.

Which Fry's in San Diego? The one near the stadium, or the one in San Marcos?
 
so i went to fry's to check it out,
-popolocrois is 19.99
-bomberman's *they have 2 diff ones* are 19.99
-mohjong and other puzzle games were 19.99
-ultamite wrestling my katamari and me (jap psp) and bleach heat the soul 1 was 29.99
-pirates pf the carribean psp game is 19.99
and gretzky nhl was 12.49

no ds games were involved in this and all the other games are still 49.99 or in case of bleach heat the soul 3 was 59.99
 
just got back from Fry's Sunnyvale.

Space Invaders (DS import) -> $39.99

others like Naruto & Bleach are like $49.99
 
$19.99?!?! SWEET! Time to pick that up! Did Frys put out cards saying the price, or just change the price on the actual case?
 
I don't think they're going to stop carrying import PSP games... I saw a copy of Bleach Heat the Soul III, and I think that just came out recently. They have been heavily discounting the games that have either already come out here or are about to (Me and My Katamari, etc.) and games that haven't sold well most likely due to unfamiliarity/needing to know Japanese (Kinnikuman, Super Robot Wars, MX, etc.). I'm thinking they discounted Bleach HTS because HTSII and HTSIII are out already...

As someone else mentioned, Taito was $20; but I could have sworn I saw Guilty Gear for $29.99 at the Irving, TX store. Then again, I knew there was no way in hell I could buy anything at the time and just gave up on looking. : /
 
I was looking at Bleach 3 while I was Fry's yesterday and noticed that they are selling the Chinese region 3 version while both parts 1 and 2 are the Japanese region 2 versions. Maybe they are going to just start carrying the Chinese versions of PSP games since they are supposed to cost less and have the English insert for the game manual.

I think theres an import bomberman puzzle game(ala tetris, lumines), so it might be that.
 
just got back from frys during lunch, since i cant read japanese, i only picked up bleach 1 29.99 (with a "best of psp" yellow cover, i take it this is the "greatest hits" of japanese games) and puzzle bobble 19.99 as those looked pretty fun, thanks OP!

I just came back from Fry's Sunnyvale. I picked up a copy of Taito Memories and the last English copy of Popolocrois for $19.99 each.

They had the following for $19.99: Space Invaders, some maejong title, Taito Memories, Puzzle Bobble, and some Bomberman titles as well.

I saw Guilty Gear XX ($29.99) and I also saw a copy of Gitaroo Man Lives! (it was $50 though).

UPDATE: Just came back from Fry's. My brother wanted to go pick up a copy of Panic Bomber (the Bomberman puzzle title). I also saw the price tag on Guilty Gear XX, it was $30.

can somebody pick me up a copy of Taito Legends? I would really appreciate it. Don't have a Frys near me.

I can confirm that Popolocrois is $19.99 @ the Fry's in Fountain Valley, CA. Just picked one up now. They still have about 7 copies left.
 
went back to frys and picked up (imports) namco museum vol 1 for 24.99 and namco vol 2 for 19.99... also saw tenchu something taizen for 29.99 but it looked like there was a lot of text and id rather wait for the us version in november... btw, i played bleach 1 last night and that game is pretty neat, its cel-shaded and reminded me of dbz budokai 2...

and other animes are going for 10 each.
 
Picked up a Taito for $19.99. Last one. The Bomberman look good. One of them is Panic Bomber...just like for the Virtual Boy!

Didn't know a Namco Musuem 2 came out...I'll have to check that out.
 
So is this nationwide or just at these stores?

My parents are out in Kali and I wouldn't mind a cheap new version of Popolocrois and maybe Taito.
 
I picked up GITS ($20), SSX ($15), and Popolocrois ($20) from the Atlanta/Gwinnett Fry's. If only I spoke Japanese, I could have picked up all the other games, which they have a ton of left. I almost want to go get a copy of Rosetta stone for Japanese so I can clean them out...
 
Went to Fry's Orange County today.

No Taito Memories, but I don't ever recall seeing it there.

All the Japanese DS games except Mahjongg were gone.
