Lumines II and other clearance titles $9.98 each on TRU.COM

they have a ton of games on there...even Black which i havent seen for $9.99 anywhere...checking now on how many games i actually need and what shipping will be...thanks for the heads up op
I also snagged Family Guy new for PS2 $9.98.
Ahh hopefully that will work in store too (anyone confirm?). It isn't mentioned in the other TRU clearance thread.
Putting together a list now:
Cool thanks Cheapy! I snagged a couple of the games I wanted but was too lazy to compile a full list.

Yeah, these are in-store too. I swooped up Lumines for $14, and they had several copies left. Was interesting to see Lumines 2 as $10 but Lumines as $14, TRU must be aware of the EXPLOIT! :sherlock:

nice job on the list CheapyD:applause: ...there really are some nice deals and as long as you buy more then 1 the shipping isn't a dealbreaker...got 6 games and was charged $6.54 for shipping...not bad considering you dont have to search instore for them

Nah, Lumines was a forgotten markdown, I'm willing to bet. Sometimes a game will get marked down and won't go down anymore for a long time, while others that were marked down at the same time will drop further. TRU tends to be retarded in that sense.

i want SPLINTER CELL: DA but the shipping KILLS!!! ARGH

anyone got a sealed copy and willing to trade my sealed Phoenix Wright?

I don't know. All links are working for me right now. It's also showing that Lumines II is "temporarily not available online."

I picked up Black a couple of weeks ago at Sears for under $9 (marked at $13, rand up at $8.xx) a couple of weeks ago...its worth a look if you haven't gotten yet, you don't want to spend so much on shipping, and you can't find it in ToysRUs stores..
you don't want to spend so much on shipping, and you can't find it in ToysRUs stores..
that's true, but i think it is more reasonable to pay s&h. like for those who might pay $5 for gas and drive around and look for games over at their local TRU & Sears and score none.

Found a copy of Lumines I for $13.98 and Lumines II for $9.99

They also had "Exit" for $13.98. How's that game? Reviews suggest its just "ok".

B&M TRUs still seem to have a lot of stock on all of these, so definitely check there.

Just got back from mine to snag Lumines II and Tomb Raider (GC)... until I saw a copy of DDR Mario Mix. Stupid TRU making me spend way more than I intended.

On that note, since I couldn't get my two intended games... when does this sale end, anyway? Set date, or is it just until stock is gone?

I bought my copy for $4.99 AC from BB, and even so: I was underwhelmed. I thought that it would be a *lot* more "action-ey" than it was, and it really is a slow-moving process of a game. I don't begrudge the $5...I mean, it's $5. But still, I think if I'd paid $15 ($14 plus tax), I'd have been quite annoyed.

Now, the $20 I spent for Every Extend Extra? Money well-spent indeed. But remember: I live for the *action*.

On that note however, people should be aware that after a certain amount of time, many of these titles will go UP in price as TRU has done in the past regarding their clearanced games.

WOOO! I printed out the TRU web page and brought it in to CC and price matched Lumines 2! Got it for $9 after tax! This game is fantastic, thank you so much CAG!

Yeah... I've been burned by that in the past. I just wanted to check if there was any sort of unofficial cut-off date since what I was looking to pick was really only because of the price.

Tomb Raider for $10? I'll give it a shot. More than that? Suddenly I don't care as much.
My local TRU has Lumines 2,maybe try your local TRU?That's where I got my LUmines 2.
Yeah, I got lucky and found a copy at my TRU this afternoon. They didn't have any other PSP games, except for the atrocious Pocket Racers. :puke:

Alright, I made a TRU run today and left with:

Perfect Dark Zero: CE: $12.98
Lumines 2: $9.98
Summon Night: Swordcraft Story: $9.98

DAMN GOOD, USUALLY I END UP LEAVING WITH ONLY 1 THING OR NOTHING. And Summon Night was completely unexpected, but I gots it :D

I rented Exit and didn't like it. It's a "platform puzzler" type game, and like most of those it gets waaaaaay too hard too quickly. I'd definitely rent first unless you're a huge fan of the genre.

I got my copy of Family Guy today that I ordered the night I started the thread but my copy of Lumines II is still on backorder. I haven't dealt with ordering from TRU.COM very much (ended up ordering one of those craptastic Wii bundles from them in December). When they split your order up because of something being out of stock they don't try and hit you for shipping on each package do they?

Glad to hear these are good in store as well. I got a TRU coupon in the mail last week, $10 off of $50. I was planning on picking up Project Sylpheed next week anyway, which retails for $40, so hopefully I can find something good in-store for $10 to get for free. :)

Okay i did find a copy of lumines didnt know where to ask it. I see 2 versions of it one with a yellow cover and the greatest hits version! I got the greatest hits version will this work for the downgrade

I would doubt it, and why on Earth does anyone want to do this? Amazing factoid, the Playstation Portable is this great GAME MACHINE. It has these nifty GAMES you can buy to play in it :D

I continue to be baffled by these whacky firmware people.

Well because being able to hack the system and use homebrew makes the PSP an even better system. Sony needs to realize this and ease up. Maybe they'd sell more of them if they weren't so wrapped up in their battle with the home brew crowd.

I'm pretty sure they see homebrew as a front for piracy. Whether or not that's actually true, we all know hacking/modding a PSP allows for such activity, both legal and not.

Now if they could work on allowing homebrew while still protecting their IPs, that would be nice. Look at MS with XNA, they have the right idea, or at least it's a step in the right direction.

I seriously doubt many people care about homemade stuff. I mean sure, there's some interesting looking stuff out there, but most people probably just want to steal games.

This whole bashing the Playstation Portable for not allowing homebrew stuff is moronic as NEITHER DOES ANY OTHER RECENT SYSTEM.

Anyone who actually wants to do this kind of stuff should just by a Palm TX, and use the PSP for games.
